UNBELIEVABLE!!! my replacement shorai that superbike sent me was in my bike 2 weeks never on the road due to weather finally get riding weather again yesterday get all suited up pull the bike down off the rack and low and behold NOTHING.
fortunatley Shorai sent me a extra battery last week but now im really concerned so i call them, after looking at the lot #s we find that superbike sent me the same bad lot # as the first 1, so im installing my 3rd Shoaai if it dont work i think ill ask for my $$ back and buy a lead battery lol anyways if anyone has a 18A1 lot# AWREEZ you may wanna call shorai and try to get it exchanged cause after they sit for a week in the bike they take a shit.

My 14 Ah has been sittin for a few months now. Had a short stint on a battery maintainer after sitting inactive in the bike for two months. Never even triggered charge mode. I will report on how it starts soon. I bet it will be good as new.

Gentleman, I rode the CBR last night and the Shorai is cranking her over like a beast. I've let her sit two weeks and it seems to make no difference. By comparison, my brand new L/A OEM batt on the ZX-10R sounds like it's going to die if you let the bike sit more than a few days. Time for a Shorai transplant?

Anyway, I got stranded and it is not pleasant, if that ever happened to you. No triple A to give a boost... Nada!
Not fun,,,,did you really say that hub,,,,,,, OMG. This big bute will not take a push start unless your a gold medal winner lol. And when the spark does come back you better be hanging on or. your about to put on the show of your life. Weeee. If you have not tried it, what happens is,,,takes about 30 secs of turning over before enough voltage is made. Then, when your just about to give up,,,,Bang and away you go, so hang on. Bit of a head fake. Hope this helps lol.

Well I don't think you should be getting any sulfation from a new battery. That doesn't sound right at all.Anyway...ya...I bought that (same) Furakawa that I had before. It was...79 dollars.I did the pour the acid thing in here deal...charged it well on my battery tender.Got the green light....yep.Installed.Works fine. You ought to know way more about this than me.BUT....I never just stick a battery in there and go.I always make sure she's charged all the way.Just using the bike's system COULD be iffy on a new battery. You know I'm sure that a 'low charged battery' will NEVER hold a good charge as it's supposed to.Even if it appears to be at such and such volts.
BTW..I've never greased the posts.Only thing I ever saw was a VERY SLIGHT white powder developing on the negative cable eye right there..starting to work it's way down the cable under the insulation. But it was NOTHING serious. That battery went around two years. With no maintenance(except charging on the tender during Winter).I don't know about you bike, but mine while riding will show 14.1,2.Right in there.
Course, now my baby's for sale at the dealer's...so....they have a new battery whomever gets her.And new plugs. And a newly cleaned airfilter,AND a fresh oil fill. AND new tires front and back.AND new front/rear sprockets.And...a kickazz badazz zx14!She was a good un...that Blue07.This new one BETTER BE GOOD!
