I wrote(again) to the speedohealer guy. This is what he told me.

The tachs on the 14 are "slightly" favorable.Okay.I can buy that...no prob.HOWEVER.....setting the speedohealer to bypass the SPEED LIMITER will NOT AFFECT the Tachometer. If the tach is slightly optimistic....it will remain that way throughout the engine rpm range(in other words,it won't change it's reading ability up or down as it runs faster..the calibration will remain constant). From 0 rpms to whatever. Not like the speedo that can actually increase or decrease whatever the case may be(like you said....reading at 100,then showing an "off" speed at 190).He also pointed out that setting the healer(in this case mine)with my gearing...will BYPASS the SPEED limiter, allowing the bike to continue to wind out without ever hitting the engine limiter.Apparently, what is showing on the tachometer has no real value for having a means to determine IF the engine limiter is engaging. He said it wasn't in my setup. So the 190 is correct.I mentioned about the gearingcommander website....you went to it and punched in "in/mph",yes?Then you entered 16/42,yes?And you got a read of 178 something in the window.Okay.That IS fairly accurate.BUT...did you punch in on the rpms 11,500?...NOW look at your top speed. She will do 190 with the right conditions.10 mph slower than the listed speed for the gearing and rpm values is very possible. But you're saying I'm not hitting 11,5...right?Okay...whatever I'm hitting...it's taking me to 190.So IDK.The top speed recall .....GIVES THE ACCURATE TOP SPEED VALUE for the run.It is "real speed"...not healed. It matched my GPS.So IDK.I was also running a taller profile tire...perhaps that helped..IDK.I never entered that into the calculation for the "healed" speedo error.

This is one of the benefits of using a Healtech Healer...the actual speed will be shown on the recall function regardless of what the dial is showing.

I do want to verify this "feature" for myself...just so what I'm saying is correct(in my case).Last fall,I set the healer to the website instructions for "top speed run...zx14".The healer was set to -90%.My indicated speed for just a regular drive was showing something like 35 when I was actually travelling around 100.UNFORTUNATELY...I did not stop at that point and take a "top speed recall" check. So in all honesty,I don't know FOR SURE that the "top speed recall" shows true speed or not.The website says it does...regardless of what the "corrected" speedo error is showing on the dial.So IDK...I could be full of shit and not know it!

Blue,
You are wearing me out......Please refer to this statement:
(quote)
Blue,
This statement makes me think you are possibly confusing the (speed limiter) with the (rev limiter)? (end quote)

1-You keep focusing on the Speedhealor and it's "ability" to allow you to bypass the speed limiter.... This is true!!!
With the speedhealor installed, you have the "ability" to bypass the 186-187MPH Top speed limiter....
This is independent of the (rev limiter), and has nothing to do with one another....
If you hit the rev limiter, in any gear, at any speed (healed or not healed), the limiter cuts you off.... (You must realize this, as you've already mentioned hitting it!)
So, in your case, as your going WFO, traveling towards 190MPH, IF you hit 186-187(on speedometer), your bike WILL continue pulling speed as long as you don't hit the rev limiter.... (this is where gearing plays a part)
2-You keep mentioning putting in 11,500 in their calculator.... You can NOT put in 11,500 to approximate anything (you will hit the limiter@ 10,800-10,900), as your bike will NOT pull that RPM....(unless you have installed electronics to raise this limit)
Please bear in mind, this is all paperwork speed.(ie.-perfect world/make believe) It does not take into account aerodynamic, frictional and traction losses.(typically 2-3%) I'm wore out.....

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” HST
