ethin14, here is the website to "The Dragon". There are allot of roads in the North Carolina/Tennessee area that have these types of curves. This is just a popularly commercialed one. It is cool to see the "Tree of Shame".

The Tree of Shame is located at the end of the dragon in North Carolina. There is a small motel there and an accessory store. All the other stuff you see envolves things to do and see within about 20 miles of the Dragon in North Carolina. Maybe someone else on here could give more information.

I see you have a Garmin 205w, thinking about buying a GPS but not sure what to get, dose yours have the voice in the helmet to tell you what to do next ????? .I Like the Garmin Quest, waterproof, etc but it's a bit expensive.
will keep shopping around, have a UHF raido coms on my helmet so will need the talking lady to go into that system. lol

I have he basic Garmin. Go to Garmin.com and they breakdown their systems. I just carry a ziplock sandwich bag in case of rain. If you get a 700 series Garmin, you are still about half the price of the Quest. The mount sold at twistedthrottle.com is awesome and mounts easily.

Also what model is that hitch as I dont see it listed on the web site .
Also how much $ dollars to buy and ship way over here ?

Im trying to get the cost pass my finacial advisor (read wife ) to spend as it dont look cheap as I paid $390 for the hitch for my ST1300 to show up at my door and the ZX looks like it might be a couple c notes more ?
Though the more I see of your with the trailer Im sure my Uni-Go traile would work soooo slick on the ZX for longer hauls to go camping

Just email them. I think it is a TK45. I will have to find the paperwork. Just pick the ZZR 1200 and act like you are ordering it and it will give you price and shipping. It took exactly 2 weeks and was packaged better than any hitches I have purchased in U.S for Harley's. Excellent Quality. I have a camper also. Haven't tried connecting to it yet. I keep the pigtail under the seat and just feed it out when needed. I love how I can remove it in just a few minutes. It isn't fancy, but it does look sturdy enough to work. Ethin14 is the man that took the time to let Classic Industries use his bike as a reference. I am forever greatful to him for that.

I wonder if it could haul my RollaHome to the local lakes 40 miles away ?????
weighs about 290 empty ?????
would be way cool to ride a 100 miles and set up base camp

Pulling a 15 year old camper loaded about 450lbs. 100mph no problem. Handles better than the Harley. ZX14 suspension tighter.

Right bracket perminantly attached to sub frame sticks out just far enough to take on and off hitch.

Left Bracket the same.

Left Hitch rail attaches with exhaust mounting bolt.

Rear end look with trailer attached.

Hey slidderhd, good to see your getting some use out of that rig of yours. whats that in the sign on the pump besides the bike in the service station. it has 1.49 is that the price per liter or gallon just wondering what you guys pay for fuel.
Looks like you've got your setup all sorted, great stuff. Will be in Canada later in the year would love to call in for a coffee and check her out but time and distance will beat me.

God bless & ride safe

I think it looks good and gives more options for setting up base camp somewhere. Very cool

Bet you got some stares going down the road .
Handleing was fine ?
Stopping?
As it looks like almost as much weight in the trailer as in the bike
Looks like a fun way to traval

$3.00 per gallon for 93 octane.

I think that was just an ad for a new soft drink on the pump.

Yea ethin14, I am plesantly surprised by how well it handles. I added two turns on the rear shock and adjusted the rebound and compression dampening to about 90%. It sticks good. With me being 260lbs, it still isn't too hard when I am solo.

imrubicon, handling was not an issue. As far as stopping goes. In my head, the thought of a downhill twisty in the rain makes me a little nervous. You just have to be aware that what you are pulling weighs almost as much as the bike without the rider.

Note: Even while pulling the boat, she still has more acceleration than my old 1993 CBR1000F.
