Danno...

Do you mean it is a Corbin Seat? Could not find Tobin. How old is your seat and condition..am looking for a seat that is lower than stock 2012 ZX14r, Is seat more comfortable than stock? how does yours compare to stockas far as height? Is it leather?

If Corbin, is the rear modified to install a backrest?

Thanks, 'g8er. Yes it's a Tobin, not a Corbin. The company is now called New Image Seats since Tobin was bought out by the guy who actually did the work. You could still buy this seat brand new. If you go to the New Image Seats website, you can click on 'Kawasaki' and see this exact seat, in plain black vinyl like mine or in various exotic cover materials. They even put lights and lighted logos into the seats, if you're into bling.

Not sure of the exact age of mine, since it came with the bike. It is a bit lower and flatter than the stock seat, and is much more comfortable than a Corbin, which seems hard as a rock to me.

Danno.

Thanks for info on the Tobin Seat. Called the owner himself....has done hundreds of ZX14 seats, just completed his 14r recently..cost is 245.00 to rework it with NO GEL....50.00 to add a Ninja type logo if you want one..

His name is Lee....717-495-9934, very confident in making you a comfortable stock seat re-work, turnaround time is 4 days once he gets it in the mail...'

Yes I've heard lots of good things about their seats and their service. I think mine has the gel pad as it seems very cushy to me compared to a Corbin or even the C-14 gel seat I just bought from conneault14.

Danno,
Does the seat cowl fit over this seat?

It does. I had a cowl on it (before I sold the cowl) and one of my friends tried it out last weekend with his cowl attached. He decided to save up for a $500 Sargent seat. It's the silver one in the middle of the photo.

Danno,
In your opinion, would the Seargent or the Tobin be more comfortable for all day riding?

I've never sat on a Sargent seat, so any comment from me about their comfort level would be pure speculation. They do look good, though. The Tobin, seen in the pics onh my bike and the sliver 14 behind mine, is nice and flat, which I like. For me, it's only negative was that the upturn at the back of the rider area was a little too close to the front. The C-14 low gel seat has about an inch more room front-to-back, so I can move around a little more.
