Is anyone running with bar risers on their bike? I'm looking for a slightly more upright riding position. What brand do you have and do you like them?

+1 for Helibars... I have a set. HOWEVER, if you don't have an ABS bike you will need new brake cables. Mine were not long enough to accommodate the small rise :(
however I took advantage and got a matching set of front and rear steel brake lines that match the bike :) Spieglers blue cables and banjos SpieglerUSA. They have a place in Dayton and a deal with the local Kawi dealer so I got a good deal for them and the installation.

+2 on Helibar risers. I'm 6'1" and they're great for long rides, or around town.

They really do seem to help, for such a small mod ....

I've got the 2013 ABS too, as many others do with risers, and they just slipped right in without undoing a single extra part.

Got the GenMars on my 2012, needed to reposition the front brake lines slightly in order for the stock brake lines to reach. I had to remove a bolt and move the hydraulic up about an inch, needed to get a longer bolt and a nylon spacer from the hardware store. Other than that they work fine and have chrome caps that make it look a little more finished that the other risers. I'm 6'3", and they definitely make a difference, but I could still use a little more rise to be perfect.

You guys and your 1" riser blocks.....
I just finished installing Convertibars onto my 2012 14R and between the vertical rise, the horizontal distance closer to the rider, as well as the degree/angle of the bars themselves I have approximately 5-6" cumulative change when compared to stock bars. The ride position is INCREDIBLE. I haven't felt this comfortable on a sport bike EVER. Outside of a Concours, FJR, ST, or Sprint this position is unmatched. I have combined these handlebars with the Murph's dropped pegs that are wider and spread the load weight out for increased comfort, and I have to say it is a pleasure to ride.
I am young, my back is strong, and my body doesn't have a problem with stock 14R or even more aggressive positions like my previous superbikes. However, this is where you get into luxurious comfort and it is just cool. If you find that Helibars or Gen Mar's just aren't quite up to snuff, don't discount a set of fully adjustable handlebars. The reason these are even better than tubular style handlebars with custom upper triples is that you can raise and lower them in under a minute with one single tool, and run whatever height or angle you're in the mood for. The tubular ones are fixed and can not be changed. Lots of $$$ risked on getting that one right the first time...
I wanted a ZX14R with Concours like comfort and I'm getting pretty close now. Heated grips and seat (or gear) and a few other odds and ends to go... But seriously....give Convertibars a look. Made right here in Minnesota. Still more bang for your buck versus a chunk of aluminum. They are pricy, but so so worth it.

Awesome advice Bradley, good stuff there. If ur thinkin heated grips you should try the Oxford Sports for sportbike line. Freakin awesome. Makes riding all year round on Priscilla a pleasure.

Rod442 - here is a link for you. It will take you to the official Convertibars.com website.
I will be doing a write-up eventually to detail the process... but if you want more info after browsing the website just PM me I'd be glad to help. I also have a bunch of pics to show off the setup. Some folks will think it looks funny with handlebars sticking up on a sport bike but once you get out on the open road and set the cruise control, their comments all fade into nothing. The comfort is like a real touring bike, but one twist of the wrist and your tripling the speed limit without breaking a sweat!
Hey Blast how are the oxfords wired up? I've heard good things about them and will be looking into them, but I've heard the controller/switch housing is pretty bulky. Could be tricky to find a safe place to mount it.
MRZX - I have only achieved this much adjustability by using a different type of product, as I have linked above. I am not using the Heli's nor the Gen Mar's. Although I have read that you can stack the Gen-Mar's at least 2 high.. If that works for you.

The 2014 Ohlins ??? what a hassel modding them last night! the top style ring on the Blocks doesn't go over the fork adjusters on them, as its not say a 20mm adjuster normal, it's the full diameter of the forks on them, after a few hours grinding/faceing it off, then it was a easy mod to do
