Hi, I have an 06 candy thunder blue zx14 and the stock badges were all removed by one of the PO's. I am not a fan of the badge-less look and would like to know my options on restoring them.

I fear that going OEM will cost a fortune for each individual piece. If so, What other aftermarket solutions are there?. I don't anything that looks different from OEM (anything that looks riced out)

I also have noticed there are variations between badge placements between the years. not sure which ones look better.

I had to replace the chrome OEM badges on my '06 after a tip over in the driveway a few years back. I don't remember them costing a fortune. I order online at Honda Toledo East, got good prices and service and free shipping for anything over a $100. I usually can get to $100 pretty easy by ordering a spare oil filter, brake pads, any missing fasteners etc.
I'd go OEM, anything else is going to look cheesy, JMHO.

I just checked, there are six pieces total and they will set you back $152 total for all six from Honda East Toledo with free shipping.

The one on the mid cowl says KaWasaki and the tail section has ZX-14 and Ninja. All are chrome. That is higher than I thought but I'd go that route to restore the bike to original.

They're listed under Decals Blue in the parts fiche.

You could have vinyl emblems made at any local sign shop. They would not have relief like the OEMs but might satisfy your taste.

Just one last question, mine is the 06 thunder blue and was wondering if I can use 07+ decals because I think I prefer the variation. Or is it not possible because thunder blue was not an option in those years?

I am not 100% sure, but I think the decal border matches the original color of the bike. So you just need to make sure you order decals for the same year of the color of your bike. Maybe someone else can chime in on this.
