ok si i put on some carbon fiber and you got it theres no padding on the inside. Well I look em up on Bikebandit and WOW $62 + shipping for the Foremans and dash panels (padding) So I'm at Home Depot and I come across what looks like the stuff they use for the OEM panels, sure enough I get it home and its the exact same padding. Anyways I buy a roll of this stuff for $18 and I swear theres enough in a roll to do several bikes lol heres some pics

Good one scottjkyl I had to replace my L/H duct cover that came without the insulation which alone for one small bit cost me $35

I just replaced my air duct covers with the carbon fiber pieces and there was no insulation on the stock pieces.
Is there supposed to be insulation there/

I really appreciate this tip. This is a hellavu lot cheaper than the stock pieces.

If it is the exact same stuff it will be extremely resistant to heat. I submerged my foreman in a bathtub changing the hot water several times. Lets just say it was in there a lot longer than it was really worth in an attempt to flawlessluy apply white vinyl to the fins. The adhesive on the foam started to get soft but it never let go.

Good idea. I imagine it will work and even if you need to replace it every year, no biggy. Personally, I do not miss any of the foam or rubber or plastic heat deflectors but we'll see how I feel about that in the middle of July.

Thanks for the tip Scotty.
