It was mentioned in another thread that we need female representation. Do you know women that ride ZX14's?

It is possible that there aren't enough female ZX14 riders out there, or maybe they are intimidated to join when they see naked images.

I have a few questions: Would you invite a female friend who rides a ZX14 to join this forum? Will people be more considerate about posting naked porn images all over the site if a woman joined?

No way would I invite a female to join this forum, to much locker room talk, although I'm sure there are many women who would fit in just fine around here. I haven't met to many of the people on here, there may be a lot of women on here now.

I think most female zx14 riders can handle joking about women, it's the nude degrading photos they would most likely have an issue with. I have a wife and three daughters (ages 16-22) and I can tell you women don't care to much about the type of stuff/pictures we post on here. I can't imagine there's to many fathers/husbands that would want the ladies in there life on here. I'm not saying this forum should change, I think it has a good blend of tech and fun. There aren't many women zx14 riders to begin with and out of those there doesn't seem to be any who want to hang here.

I don't see anything negative about women joining our forum. I don't see any difference between a male or female rider. Riding bikes is a skill, I know a lot of women that ride more skillfully then men. I have a few female friends who ride and I am proud to saddle up with them. Now sometimes I act like an asshat and post stupid stuff. Let's face it some of our antics put off both sexes! I don't think women would be offended by the content and realistically I don't see many women going to man talk threads with pictures of attractive women. Either way I don't see the big deal. In fact it would be really nice to have more women on our site.

An attractive, intelligent woman who can ride well will obviously get our attention. So this is a plus too!

Will people be more considerate about (posting naked porn images) all over the site if a woman joined? Where? I am sorry ,KoflaOlivieri, but I have never seen any nude women here, forget about porn . If you know of any posted here point me to it and I will humbly apologize . As for the talk a woman that ride a zx14 will be into the bike scene and would probably have heard it and talked it. I for one try not to use harsh language on an open forum out of politeness and should a child stumble across. But not everyone does and this is the Internet and they will read it about anywhere.
I just don't think there are that many women riding them , mores the pity.

Just one man's opinion but I find most of the pictures that are posted to be reasonably non-offensive cheesecake. Yeah, I could live without the occasional beavshot that gets posted but where do you draw the line? Bikini is ok but camel toe is out?

I don't take anything too seriously around here except for motorcycle advice. I think that is the only thing that should be expected and all else that comes with it is just the way the forum evolves from within its membership. This is a sportbike forum. Topics regarding hot babes and breaking of motor vehicle laws go with the territory. There are women's forums out there already and anyone who posts such comments on them will get drummed out in short order.

Bottom line is that there are very few women who ride sportbikes. For those who do, and don't take all the rest too seriously.

The women I have seen on forums have been pretty thick skinned and know they are dealing with mostly men, about the naked pics there on specific topics so they can be avoided.

No exposed male genetalia but I see semi nude hunk shots all the time on my FB feed. Also occasional gay shots. Yup i have sveral gay friends. People want to express their sexuality. Its all fine with me. If I didn't like it, I'd not go there.

I'm going to say what I know most of the rest of of us think but don't often mention.

#1 I think the real reason women (in general) are offended by nude photographs of beautiful women is that these pics are posted by men which pretty strongly indicates that that is what men are interested in. 99% of women over 30 can't come close to those pictures. They are not offended, they are intimidated by these images---not intimidated by men, BY OTHER WOMEN!!!

#2 Women want to be objects of desire. They are NOT offended by it! Ever look at the cover of womens magazines? Advertising directed at women??? Its all sexy provocative women tastefully showing cleavage or a profile of a high, round ass. Gone are the days of cover girls crossing those hot, sexy legs. They got 'em open sporting a gap between their crotch. Its sex sex sex sex. Women don't seem to mind that or else that kind of advertising would not have been going on for the last 50 years.

#3 What women need to do is take care of themselves and stay looking as beautiful as they can and feel good about themselves. If they do that, they won't need to be as perfect as the cheesecake photos that are already pasted all over our society. If women just try hard to look good, I can guarantee each and every one of them that there will always be one man out there who will make them feel like they are the queen of the universe.

In the end, women are women. I make the general statement because it is a general truth: Women have a hard time saying what they mean. I've come to expect that. That's ok, they're women. I don't think I'd really want them any other way. (cue Billy Joel, She's Always a Women)

Maybe we should be talking about people and not MEN/WOMEN or men/women in some sort of classification scheme that separates each individual into a stereotypical "they"; who are then concluded to like this but not that or be offended by this but not that or (the worst prejudice of all) being selectively offensive! Selective offense is when something disrespectful that is considered very offensive conduct generally is purported to be only offensive when manifested outside an "entitled group"; said group may manifest the same conduct or illustrative expression within that group not only with impunity but as a defining attribute!

The idea that naked, nearly naked or even only highly suggestive illustrations or conduct is part and parcel of the "sport biker world" and should be allowed or expected to pervade all venues within that social group is just plain silly, immature and prejudicial conduct, IMO. It is the attitude cultured (at personal risk if ignored) in Jr High male locker rooms all around the USA.

Is it testosterone related? Perhaps so. Does that mean it cannot be "controlled" or relegated to socially acceptable forms of expression? I don't think so. The Hulk cannot control or channel his physical gifts; Superman has no problem doing just that. Peeps who cannot meet the societal allowances for expression of sexuality in extreme cases are deemed criminals or ill or even psychotic with the result being a bad outcome for all.

I agree with Kofla, if I understand him correctly; relegation or control of this kind of expression could and should be accomplished by restricting such illustration and expression to a thread or two (maybe three) LOL. In that way, it can serve its own purpose and any one who feels the need of a "hit" can go there for his or her own expression.

Inclusion of such expression in personal avatar is one way that the entire forum becomes objectionable to those with differing sensibilities and who are more easily offended. Does that make the forum a more welcome or a less welcome place to the very group you lament because of its non-representation?? Think about it. Some one asked if "you" would like to see naked male illustrations "in your face", so to speak, everywhere you looked on what is ostensibly a forum of ZX14 enthusiasts? Well, would you?

I don't care in the least for pornography of any form. I'm so "prudish" as to frown on public displays of affection between any two people of any sex as a general form of conduct. But that's just me and I respect a different opinion. Certainly, open sexual conduct is offensive to most people in our human society; while it is quite the norm in the primate enclosures of any zoo!

If you want people of the female gender to participate in this forum without feeling threatened or insulted, then you will restrict the expressions under discussion to specific threads and show some consideration for offending people with the illustrations in your avatar. Otherwise, I believe you will "put off" most females with an interest in or ownership of a ZX14 or any other sport bike.

Did you know or are you aware of the higher testosterone levels in "highly sexed" males or females? Or are you knowledgeable of the role testosterone plays in human sexuality for both sexes even at normal range levels and periodic variations? Do you honestly believe that a sport bike forum is an outlet for these needs?

I ask these questions because this topic keeps coming up and I don't believe that the root of the question has been properly considered.

In short (I know, its too late to be short, LOL), is this a forum for Hulks or for Supermen and for Superwomen? Either find a generally socially acceptable limited space for such expression or decide to let the whole forum become that place and risk driving many away. More accurately, I believe that there are more than a few peeps out there who do not participate in this forum actively for this very reason and we are not so much driving them away as we are keeping them from entering. Consider that. And consider that ladies are likely to manifest objections to female focussed "pornography" by exactly that option.

I simply don't go to the threads devoted to "pornography" as I have no interest in the offerings there and find the information and commradeire in the other threads. I also don't need the "pornography" to remind me why I ride this bike!

Just my 2 cents and not aimed at anyone and not intended to offend anyone.

Confining explicit material and labeling it so that those who may be offended can avoid it makes perfect sense. That approach has been taken with certain forms of art so that it's no inflicted on the entire public without regard for who may want to experience it. The difficult part is drawing the line between that which is offensive and that which is appropriate for all ages and all values.

As far as scantily clad women appearing with motorcycles and sports cars on posters and magazine covers, that is a long standing tradition. Mostly Harleys and hotrods but Moto GP has its umbrella girls.

I'm on a hayabusa forum as I own both, the women which over there are very engaged in what the men talk about even if it's "edgey" so to speak, they roll with it and enjoy the banter pics and forum topics just the same. If they want in just come on in some will adjust to a form of respect for them we're not all animals....or are we LOL! I have seen some girls that can go toe to toe with a few men and scare them and they are secure enough in who they are to not let a few pics bother them, maybe they understand we are just "men" lol!!

I have never posted naked women or porn shots on the forum. However a beautiful plump buxum woman will always catch my eye, especially a red headed one.

If a few women started posting chiseled chested male models, I would simply avoid the thread or post myself in a t-shirt for laughs. I think we take male, female, non-gendered, categorization way too seriously. People of all races and sexual preferences ride motorcycles. And because they do, I think they are cool and they get my ear when they post intelligently.

It's 2014, I see no probs with male, female, other,gender neutral, representation on this site.
