Here is the missed shift situation described by HM in their pdf. This is what is happenning. If you can't move your foot as fast as the kill time, th eshift might not lock into place.
"The kill time must be longer than actual time taken to mechanically shift because of gear change variables, otherwise damage is done to the gearbox. HMSS reduces the fixed kill time by advanced calculations to identify the re-engagement of the dogs, meaning the ultimate rapidity and safety in shifting."

Hi guys. Been following this thread with interest as I'm seriously considering getting a quick shifter in the near future. Does the HM Plus SS allow you to do both up and down shifts? Thanks for the great feedback so far??
I can't remember but that info is on one of the HM threads in the last couple months. I know the HM GP does clutchless downshift.
