I do hope and would like to see a SC'd 1441 zx from the factory.I really think it's a distinct possibility up ahead.Only problem would be...the zx's weight. It could get out of hand very quickly with a bike this 'big' on the street. If the handling and all of the zx were upgraded to something along the lines of an H2 or zx10...it'd work.It just won't with the current design of the zx14.
I mean...they COULD do it...but not at 15K dollars.

The 14R/ZZR1400 is a sports TOURER and a 14 downsized to the weight of a ZX10 wouldn't be. You can't have the long distance mile eating comfort and luggage carrying ability of the 14 on a bike the size of a ZX10 IMO, or maybe you can if you're 5'0' and 100lbs with buttocks hewn from solid granite but not for the average Joe rider. I doubt personally that if a SC'd 14 is let loose it'll have a 1441 motor as it's just too big. More likely be a 11 or 1200 maybe but it'll certainly be a new design from the crank up. JMO

I'd guess KHI has been spending the engineering dollars on the ZX10R, since that is their WSB machine. The last few years the ZX10R would have won a bunch of races if the tires didn't go away at the end of the race.
They tried moving the engine mounts, moving the tank, all sorts of things, and it still ate the rear tire and sometimes both.
And KHI wants badly to win a WSB championship on the ZX10R.

Uh, Sykes won it in 2013 with 9 race wins and Rea in 2015 with 15 split by Guintoli on the Arpilia in 2014 with only 5 race wins. Not bad for a team that's struggling to find a setup thst doesn't eat tires.

When they do revise the beloved 14R I will more than likely trade for one
I just hope my Brocks dual exhaust fits the next model so I can keep it and not have to buy an expensive exhaust again lol
I'll be keeping the exhaust and trading bikes to fit it, Instead of the other way around

Nice.(or not?).But what I did(kinda) like was the link about the R1.Not that I would wish that on any bike owners getting a new machine...but makes me feel even better about my H2.You just can't beat Kawasaki builds.I mean...overall anyway.I've got 20K on my 2013 14R...zero issues.My one before it...15K...zero issues,and the one before that...an 07...ZERO issues in 50K+ miles.My H2 now...over 13K(in about 4 months of riding)...ZERO issues.
Reliability is HUGE in my opinion. And ease of maintenance.
