Had a chance to install the Hot Bodies screen today. Fit was bad, but not as bad as I expected.

Matches the lines of the bike really well, IMO.

I really like the cockpit view. Shadows the dash lines nicely.

But...

Check out the gap between the middle and top mounting screws!

So I pulled out the middle and top wellnuts and just used nuts and washers. Yes, I know I need slightly larger washers.

Now the gap looks like this:

I think if I'm gonna get it to fit perfectly, I'm gonna have to also ditch the lower wellnuts (PITA!),and file the top and middle mounting holes just a little. Done for today though. GF's B-Day. Time to go pick up the cake.

All in all, I like it!
And Kruz, the blue tint was just an optical illusion.

Have to agree. Aerodynamically it complements the bike body well. Too bad the fit is so poor.

Here's the final fit of the Hotbodies.
I kept the lower welnuts and did not file or dremel anything.

It's pretty obvious that whoever made the template for the screen did not take the thickness of the welnuts into consideration. Not using wellnuts on the lower mountining holes would be a pain since they are behind the gauges.

Looks really sharp Dogo, too bad the fit was such a PITA. Hey, don't say we didn't warn ya!

I expected worse. Only real pain was two trips to the hardware store. Woulda been one had I bought the larger washers the first time. Hey, atleast I found out that my local hardware store has a good selection of stainless metric nuts and bolts and nylon washers in stock. I've wasted so many trips to Home Depot before, only to find out that they didn't have what I need, or that I have to buy a 10 pack eventhough I only need two! The additional hardware cost me about $2.

I decided to go with the darkest possible windscreen on the CBR1000 but maintain stock height, I can't see out of it anyway!
