I think Dennis Kirk accept unused stuff back in 30 days. Prolly could slip this one through the "unused" detector as I doubt there is a single mark on the seat anywhere.... but no need. I am completely satisfied, overall. The fit issue at the back is a minor thing. I ride with the cowl on 95% of the time anyway and even the though the cowl seems to fit a wee bit different with the Saddlemen, it looks good.

From the start, this was to be an appearance mod and overall, I do think the bike looks much better with the seat. In spite of the small gap, I think the Saddlemen looks really cool even without the cowl. I never liked the looks of the OEM seat without the cowl.

In addition to enjoying the improved appearance of the bike, I had the unexpected pleasure of finding the Saddlemen to weigh just a bit more than the OEM seat. I was expecting a two pound or more weight gain but the Saddlemen is only about a pound heavier than OEM. To top it all off, the Saddlemen IS a lot more comfortable that OEM.

So I would say I'm extremely happy with the Tech although, for how high quality the seat is, I would think they would have done just a little more in the design stages. The thing should be a little longer even if the extra inch was not "sittable," just to make the seat look perfect.

Nope. No return here. No sell off of used, nonreturnable stuff. If you see a Saddlemen go up for sale, I would grab it. There will be no surprises after reading this thread. I have about a thousand miles on mine now and it really looks like new.

Folks,

I'll likley be putting my Saddlemen Track C/F seat up for sale.
I'll post pictures later, but it is literally brand new (I bought it from Dennis Kirk about a day after Rook).
This is the Track seat, not the same as what Rook has.
The seat looks good and is comfortable, but it sits me back too far.
I'll be sticking with my Sargent seat and will just try to figure out a way to use it without the cheesy "transition pad". Maybe I'll ask Santa for the storage pod option.

Cheers,

Rob

Robertv19,

So you don't like the SADDLEMAN Seat?  How was the fitment of the seat on the bike?

Do you have any photos of the seat on the?

Yes, show pic with cowl off and on, please... Also wouldn't mind seeing a pic on the scale for weight comparos.

As you see in my pics, the Tech moves your rump forward a bit more than OEM but to me, feels like same distance from the grips so it MUST be lower. ...I guess?? Just wondering if the Track seat is the same exact shape as the Tech?? I may trade with you Rob. I actually would like a seat that was lower and back as far or farther than the OEM seat. Really love the look of my Tech, though.
