Hey Cblast,
When someone sends you an ECU and you put your flash on it,do you mark or label the ECU in any way? When my engine threw a rod last year, the Kawi field rep examined my bike very closely and was very curious about my ECU. He looked for any signs that it had been removed.

I don't see any mention of disabling the fuel cut on decel.
Do you address this?

The injectors power is not cut or shut off on decel with the ZX-14R as it is on the zx-10r.

Cblast just because you can't see it doesn't mean it not there , Woolich program as many have found out doesn't see what Don has done .. You are only seeing what your woolich program sees ..Dons system is very different for reason.. We have proven this .. If you unlock Dons flash and load the flash into another ECU it will not run anything like the flash you pulled from Don flashed ECU .. We have tried it on two different zx14rs same night same track , the copy is always slower by a tenth and 2 MPH .. Now with a few clicks we can install the missing info and it will run just the same , again tested on two zx14rs same night and same track ..So to say Dons flash is only a half flash is wrong because you can't see the other half that is blind to woohichs program ..Cblast don't take me wrong here , your flash might be better . I'm not saying your flash doesn't work and may prove to be better .. I hope it is , more power is always welcome no matter who finds it ..But as someone else said it not good to bash what others have done , Brocks doesn't do it and Don doesn't do it either ..Both have good reputations because of that .. Just something to think about ..

I hear you loud and clear smokin. I wasn't trying to bash. Woolich is a fantastic tool for creating an awesome flash, and I do agree with you, there is other software out there that allows seeing different parameters. I have opened and found some very interesting things inside some previously flashed ecu's. Maybe that is a part of my firm belief. When I see something more than once in a digital world I start to stack the data. We do our due diligence and work extremely hard to provide the highest level product.

Not so, according to Guhl and Ivan...unless I misunderstood. My 07 has a definite hesitation when going through corners on decal and getting back on the throttle at that rpm range.

The ZX-14R does not cut its power to the fuel injectors as is done in off throttle on the ZX-10R. I have a fantastic flash for the gen I. No off throttle snatchiness whatsoever.

What software is Guhl using ? Inquiring minds want to know .....

carabuser it is my understanding Don did .. Don has been cracking codes and hacking ECUs for years for the sprint car guys ..Spring car guys use zook and kawi motors ,Busa 1Ks and zx14 engines ..

Sorry for the slow reply, been busy with Life and have not had a chance to follow up.... Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding other peoples credentials, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I personally would rather have someone with credentials than someone who has none (which sounds like you from your reply). It's kind of funny how many people lately are popping up to tune bikes and it makes perfect sense to me since the availability of plug & play programmers with tuning files have hit the market with tune files.....
It is what it is, guess I am skeptical.

If what you got crackin is workin for you, stick with it.

so for curiosity, what type of rear wheel HP is expected for a gen 1 zx14 with slip-on exhaust?

being not everyone operates their bike in the same temp / elevation, does you flash account for this?

what target AFR do you tune for?

what average fuel economy should be expected with this flash?

what turn-around time is expected?

what are the major items that you are altering with this flash?

do we get any guarantee with this flash?

also, my flies have been pulled, am i still go for a flash?

do u have pc5 maps available also?

@Shift6 RE: Gen I 14 flash.

1. HP on a gen I with slip-ons and the Cblast flash is 180.
2. As elevation etc., yes we do account for this. Once we know where you will be riding mostly, we are good to go.
3. 13.1:1
4. Slightly better than you are getting right now without the flash.
5. Once the ecu is in my hands it is usually turned around in one day.
6. We alter the a/f maps, the ignition maps, cylinder unification, gear unification, ALL stock restrictions removed. Stp maps (doesn't matter for you, as yours are removed), etc.
7. If you are not happy with the performance and the ride, we will flash it back for you or work with you to make it exactly how you want it.
8. With the flies out you are still good to go for a flash.
9. No PC5 maps available. The flash is stand alone and doesn't require or need a PCV.
