Well...that sounds very good;)Unfortunately..the great 14 will never outhandle a 10 or an H2.It just won't.That makes a big difference in the power application and when it can be used. The H2 is VERY different in the handling dept...that's one thing that I love about it.It's very secure feeling.

That turbo 14R may make the power, but in all my years of forced induction experience, factory engineered boost is always more reliable. Pick your poison.

Pretty cool to hear that gear change and see it gap the rr some. Grn, was that bike sounding like it had a stock pipe?

There you go, Kruzy.... that was race #3 which the BMW guy never showed you. I knew that that BMW rider was holding back evidence. AND, if you pause the videos above that Grn posted, you can see the BMW rider is a skinny guy. I'd say he's 20 - 30 lbs lighter than the H2 guy.

" Grn, was that bike sounding like it had a stock pipe?"

I'm going to guess, "No." Definitely not, if you look at the vid Kruz posted, there is no big ol stock can in sight. He's got some kind of slipon on there. If you pay close attention, it appears to drown out the sound of the BMW.

He's got an exhaust. I will be impressed if that is without a flash.

He even gives the bimmer a bike length. Get an H2 Kruz! There's your different bike you were looking for.

Kruz, did you say something about the proof being in the pudding? I don't know what they were thinking of when they looked at pudding for proof but that was long before they ever had Youtube.

I guess there's no way to tell...any chance that was the first race that the H2 won?

...actually, that appears to be two different races so no matter what order, the H2 won at least two of them and with a much heavier rider and a heavier bike.

I'm trying to see why anyone would be struggling to decide between a H2 and a 1000RR/R1. The bikes are chalk and cheese. Decide what your main use and preferred riding style is. I'm seeing a pre-occupation with straight line speed developing in this thread. If that's all that floats your boat then fine, just get the H2. The H2 (should) handle better than the 14R, if only because of it's weight advantage but the latest incarnation of the 1000RR and the new R1 have raised the bar in the sports bike arena. Ideally what we need is some footage of a duel through round some back road twisties. JMO

It handles VERY well through twisty stuff...just gotta know how to ride it,that's all.It takes a bit more foresight because of the weight. After doing some lightening mods...she'll really kick it in the corners.

Peg it won't happen, the H2 will only be able to compete with the new R1 and S1000RR in a straight line, track or twisties forget about it. I'm still trying to figure out where this bike fits, let's say for argument sake it will pull a small gap on an RR above 150 mph, OK great, now how about that corner coming up?

For me to even consider this machine it would have to utterly destroy the RR in a straight line and I'm just not seeing that yet. Everything I've seen has been really close, technique probably playing a big part in this.

Negative Rook, H2 is not impressing me yet, too much weight At 525 lbs wet and too much a straight line solution. You know I'm not into straight lines, hate being anywhere except in a deep lean. Like I said, I haven't seen it destroy the S yet, it pulled it by a few lengths in that one video and about the same against the ZX-10R but it should, with 1000cc and a factory blower it would be an epic fail if it couldn't pull a few lengths.

Hub, are you impressed, be honest, don't crawfish on us?

Looks like a very nice bike Kruz...429(439?) wet...hard to beat that. You wouldn't like the H2 probably...just too heavy.Plus the power and all really isn't all that. That R1 could probably either match it or beat it.....it's a fine machine alright.

Cool electronics but I don't think it's enough to give you much of a different ride than what you already have, not $10,000 of a difference anyway. I modded H2 would be a whole new machine. The mechanical aspects, are something anyone will easily discern from any other stock motorcycle, I'm sure. ...but if you're not going to do straightline speed and wheelies, I guess it wouldn't be your cup of tea as you're already better equipped for cornering. If I had the $$, I'd like a little of everything.

Kruz I'm down to 489 lbs now and there is more to come.....and now with the flash and tune it's awesome. There is as I'm sure you know a huge difference between spirited street riding and track riding. Let me tell ya my ZX10R with all the titanium and carbon fiber goddies including the wheels is under 400 lbs.... And on the track is almost more than I need :).... But on the street the H2 with the flash and losing 36 pounds with still at least a nother 15 to go...you won't find a more fun ride. There is just torque every where. Again a purpose buil track bike is one thing but that is not what this girl is for... even know I do about a dozen or more track days per year the majority of my riding is on the street right where this girl excels.... at the track that's when the 10 comes out to play and really shines...I wouldn't want to bring the H to that ride....lol

Negative Grn, the H2 will outpace the new R1 in a straight line, R1's light but laying down high 160s to low 170s at the back tire. The R1s strong suite is MotoGp like handling and seamless electronics. Rook is probably right, I wouldn't be able to tell much difference from what I already have except on a track. I've drunk the Koolaid many times before, they're all faster than I am, pick your poison I guess.
