I followed Blue07's fender install and then I made the top brackets. I had to trim a small amount from the fender near the top mount on the forks. It looks clean and mean!

Jack, for your 06 Black ZX14, get a 06 Black ZX10 front fender, with the side vent thingy's. I can make you a set of brackets if you wish, they will be 100 bucks per pair, guaranteed to fit. There is/was another dude on the old ZX14 site that had a whole bunch made and he was selling them cheaper. I made a set for my bike, and one for Reeves. So far so good. Let me know.

Jack, I made the top brackets during the install. If you were close to Big Bear City we could make you a set. I have no jig to reproduce them. Bike is very stable at 120+. I haven't bee 150+ yet

Blue, I really don't care if you or others go 180 mph. In fact, I doubt you actually go that fast as speedos are way off, and the law is always around, and the risk is too great of doing time at that speed. So, the only lift I get is when I turn the go screw on my right hand. As for KHI design team's intent, who in hell knows man why they made a big duck bill front fender, probably for aerodynamics...but I did my fender for looks...and for hauling in my truck as the big fender hits the bed!

blueninja, the fender looks awesome and i like your 636 too
i haven't noticed any lift but i'm sure my 250 lb ass has something to do with that"
The 06 636 is my son's bike. He's in the Navy and should be home on August 1st for a few weeks. He want's a PCIII and a Yoshimura slip on for it.

I'm here blueninja-thanks for askin.Just got tired of sharin my experience about MY situation only to have it "shot down" by someone wantin to sell parts(at least, that's what it looks like to me).I like the mod.Would have kept it on my ride if I hadn't had the handling situation I had-it was ONLY meant as a heads up-I don't want to hear about one of us crashing or something if someone has firsthand experience with a "possible" issue-ya know. That's why I deleted my posts(figured-okay,you want to call me a storyteller-ya-go ahead-find out yerself then). No one seemed to believe "that" could occur.Well-it did with mine. And I hit 150+ quite often(and I aint braggin either-that's how I ride when I can)-so........I replaced with my stocker-no more handling issue ON MINE.Like I said-a heavier rider-it may be just fine.I'm 170.It wasn't in my case.(and it had NOTHING to do with you making brackets)(or anyone else here making brackets).I wasn't trying to discourage ANYONE from doing this mod.And I'd love to ride Big Bear down in Cali-that's pretty close to where I used to live(Riverside)Rock on blueninja14!!

Cool to hear from you Blue07. If I was caught doing 150 out here an arrest would more than likely take place. For me the look out weighs the 150+. It looks awesome and has already attracted attention. I wouldn't charge to help some one make the brackets as long as they came up here to do the mod!

Well-I didn't use any.Just reinstalled the bolts there.Lower brackets worked great for securing the fender-no looseness at all.The way she sits in there, she can't go anywhere once secured.I've got the bracket mod somewhere on this forum-pics and written instructions. If you made top brackets-all the better!!!.Certainly won't hurt to have two on there.
