Basically not an issue, only discussing individual faves.

Any 350 grain bullet at 2400 fps will make the Taylor Index of 50 (just barely) and will qualify for thick skinned dangerous game. Below 2400 fps it fall short.

We agree on the essentials and certainly your load is "overkill" for Grizzlies. For T-Rex, I want more gun at 100 yards. Something more along the 338 or the Nitro Express!

Understand from your reply that you proofed it and backed off for accuracy. I suspect that the load takes some experience and practice to shoot as well as you seem to shoot it.

So now I am only talking preferences. Yes I have (as it happens) pretty good understanding of KE and Momentum
and their application to ballistics. High velocity is essential for long shots with a needed flatter trajectory.
I also favor Barnes Triple shock bullets. I would prefer one in 400 or 450 grains for dangerous thick skinned game.
Cape Buffalo are rumored to fall best to 500 grain projectiles with a hard alloy and no engineered expansion mechanism. I would personally prefer a higher density round at a lower velocity under 100 yards range with energy a secondary consideration within the high power range of 4 to 6 thousand foot-lbs. I admire the man who hunts Buff with a 350 Marlin or 45-70 Magnum loaded to about 3600 ft-lbs at the muzzle for a 500 grain Buffalo Bore bullet. Under a hundred yards of course, for this load. It has even been used on Elephant successfully (not by yours truly, however). That's beyond my resources and probably the tolerance of my nervous system. LOL!

I would just rather throw bricks than pebbles! To each his own.
In the final analysis, there is not a lot of difference (14%) in Taylor Index between 350 and 400 grains under the 100 yard limit.

Awesome chatting guns Paul! I do like the heavier bullets for that same Taylor knockdown factor you discuss! When I loaded heavy bullets out of my rigby, I found it tended to over penetrate on everything. Now African game, I would agree with ya sir, bigger is better. I have also shot plenty of big bores, I almost consider the rigby my favorite because of its versatility with those 350's. when looking for big knockdown we (friend I reload with), went to the .450 a-square for case capacity. We cranked off some stout loads that made me feel kinda punch drunk after touching off 4, or 5 rounds. We were shooting 500grns of hard cast lead and the recoil was somewhat heavy... Lol!
I hear ya Paul, me likes the big bore stuff! It's addicting! The .450 Alaskan makes a nice Alaskan caliber on a lever action, but I don't like lever actions on dangerous game. I always come back to my trusty .416rigby. We are like peas and carrots! :))
