So, after taking the KNGKAWI on a track day and realizing that it's just too much fun to quit just because I'm old as the hills and falling apart, I did the right thing and decided to get my project 2005 SV650 running and use it for a track bike.

I paid $250 for it a year ago with a blown engine. Front cylinder threw a rod. Found a good 2003 engine from the local salvage shop and tossed that sucker in. Got it running and everything looking good. Still have some parts coming but I've already taken it for a short test ride. ( ahem....with no front brake lever )

So I'll keep you posted on my progress including getting my freaking left knee to bend more. ( although, surprisingly, I have more leg room on the SV than on the 14.
