GOt my tire tool stuff today, got the dunlops mounted on my new rims! Love these rims, they're black I think the black on black is gonna look sweet! Have to seat beads and balance. Waiting for the brake stuff to get here. I might have to swap out the rotors, cause Saturday should be good riding weather.

Vic- I have a set of Q3's sitting in my garage waiting to get installed. This is my first set as well, definitely looking forward to trying them out. I bought mine before the rebate deal, hopefully you didn't. You'll be out riding way before me ( still well below freezing here) so let me know what you think of them. If you play around with air pressures let me know what these things like. Ride safe.

Here's a pic of my spare rim project i have going on. Mounted my Q3s, I'm loving the black on black. I can't wait to see it! With my Yosh pipes this year...HOT DAM!

Don't really need to describe the parts you see here...you guys know them all. Gotta seat the beads and balance. Still waiting on a few parts to come in. Nothing like mounting tires in my LR!!! Love it!!

Got my beads set today, went just great. All set at <60 psi. It's not going to be very nice today, so gonna suds her up take her for a little spin to dry come back and get started on changing the tires over the next few days. Weather's looking pretty crappy the next few days, all my parts should be here by Monday.

The truth is my M5s are roasted most of you would've changed them at 4200, at 5000. But they look like that other fellas that posted some pics. LOL I ran 160 on them the other day like this, didn't miss a beat but yeah it's time you know.

Get that girl out and ride her bud! Give me a third gear, 4000rpm WOT SMASH. Hold her till you hear her bang off the rev limiter, then stab 4th. Let off, and tell me what you saw.

C the weather is pretty crappy, my M5s are thrashed. They're burned through to the carcass (again there's some pics a guy posted my tires look WORSE now). So I'm saving your flash until I get my new Dunlops setup, probably will also wait until I get them broke in. I'm gonna wash her, today, take a short ride to dry, and get the M5s rims off there.

The weather looks crap the next few days. I should have everything I need before the next decent riding weather to have my Dunlops on, give them a good break in session. AND THEN IT'S TIME TO UNLEASH THE BLASTING!!!!! STOP...CBLAST TIME!
I'm telling you, my M5s are well beyond what I really should be riding on. I have pretty big balls, and I'm actually to the point where I know I'm in a medium-high risk situation just riding on them.

So some of you are like "oh Vic you can use the CBlast go out and romp it". I guess you guys are way braver than me. What have I said about some of you. You're just like everyone else your 50/50 as far as being right/wrong. Strike one up for about 5 of you in your L column. Read it and weap ladies!

Tire was at wear bars at 4200 miles. Obviously I pushed it a bit far. I knew exactly where my tires were at. Although I wouldn't have road at all if I know this would've happened. Next time it looks like I need to stick to my 10 mile dry off run. Keep in mind in with in the last 200 miles I've had it up to 160, and around 140 a few times.

Stop slammin on the brake...you'll thank yerself when ya get another 2K more on yer future set.Too late for these ones though. But STILL doable for a CBlast run.I know ya aint gonna ride it like C said to...so you'll be fine with these for now .I think yer scared.I've had well worse than that pic...she got me home fine.

If yer worried she'll blow...just pretend ya didn't see it.Hell...you're ONLY 'testin' C's flash.Only way that tire is gonna give out is if ya hit some sharp rocks or something.OOPS,I forgot, you and gravel go hand in hand.Just try to steer around the bigger pieces okay?It might help if ya look AHEAD wherever yer goin. You know...instead of focusing on the front wheel. You'll be fine .

Hey Vic,

The sidewalls of yer tires look new. Your riding appears to be straight line stuff only. Not a bad thing, but there is a hell of a lot more to the bike than just linear burns. Just so you know my wife made some lovely sausages for breakfast, so I've already eaten one. Look forward to yer review of the flash.

Never do worry sir. It's your bike. Enjoy it however you like. I thought to mention it in case those tires had a defect and they wore down prematurely in the middle. You never know.

Green. Are those spicy sausages or mild? They look good. I might eat one soon.

Sorry Vic, I apologize. If you can just take a bit of time to slow down and explain things to me, than I can learn. Hope you're not offended I struggle with communication.

Thanks for all the great information on your you tube channel. If I pause sections and think about what your teaching, I feel like I really can develop as a rider.

Ps that video on lubing the chain was really helpful.

Keep up the good work

You know what, Vic?

... go out and romp it". I guess you guys are way braver than me.

Do as I say not as I do? You said, and I'm paraphrasing here, 'I check my tires before a ride?' I so happened to have the bike on the rack, found a nail in my tire. If it wasn't for that one comment I caught. Thank you for that.

What have I said about some of you. You're just like everyone else your 50/50 as far as being right/wrong.

No, what have I been saying? Look at how much info the OP posted. That's how little we have to go by. Now look how much wrong shit we have to go thru and it rests right on ASSume. And all 50 of that being wrong or are we? We are wrong for your limited info brought in? The limited research I made was to see if your 50/50 was trying to look for your 50.

Vic, I'm reading how worn you said your tires were and here I'm thinking you are on the raggedge of the wear bar, and here I am sending in 50/50 of my 50 4,200 miles back and who would wear their tires past the wear bars and cord out looking like a professional squid as you just presented yourself.

Look at how stupid I look as if you were smart enough to see you are still at the wear bar of the bar, and about to wear out the bar marker? That's how much stupid I had left was to ASSume. So, did you mention you had wear, but not 4200 more wear is past the cord layer? The 100% cotton briefs I'd ride 10mph for a pack of Fizzeeezzzzzzzz..... is that my tire hissing?

Strike one up for about 5 of you in your L column. Read it and weap ladies!

Pretty funny girly. Look, 50 of the 50 is you should have mentioned 100% tire condition down to the cords, but you did not. No, do not try riding that, but you, a Professional Squidid though.

You know that squid thread? How can you tell a squid by his cords hanging out? How? _________ LOL fill in the blank, or let me write it in.... Read it and seep!

For fuck sakes, Vic. Would you the fuck for fuck sakes install the fucking tires already?! We are in the same tire/rim swap for swap wheels are ready. My rims are mismatched for extra squiddyness. Black/sil one month of new. Then wear out time is Silv/black a few months later.

I am just curious if you lost that low speed loft with the OE?

LOL This is so artfully worded. Like Hub's right here talking to us.

Why is vic Not changing his tires ?

Gotta hand it to him, the man installed his own tires in his living room. That's a full days work for me and without a doubt the heaviest labor by a long shot. Gotta be ever so careful with those rims...and careful + heavy labor don't go together too good.
