Maybe sounds to good lol. There are a Few things you will need for Your own bike to get started if you are to flash your own ECU. All teaching and learned knowledge will always be free but it cost do-re-me to get started. Either way all you need we have. Send a ping to my home E-Mail and I can give you my phone # if needed. A chance to make a new friend won't be missed. Great summer awaits,,,, I hope, current temp is minus 20 C in Stouffville

Pretty cool, I take a break from reading and being active on forums for 6 months and everyone is flashing their own stuff. I had ECUleashed then met with Ivan and was reaching into my wallet for Ivan's flash which IMHO is perfect. I am actually toying with the idea of getting a brand new 14R, adding another Brock's CT, PCV, and Ivan's flash and calling it done.

2015 30th Anniversary Edition 14R #250-> Brock's CT Ceramic Coated, Ivan's ECU Flash V2 & Map, Block off plates, HM Strain gauge quickshifter, GPR Damper, Spiegler lines, Muzzy's Sliders, Pazzo levers, Rizoma Next Fluid Tanks, DDM Ultra 5500K HID's Low & Hi, DB Windscreen, Cox Radiator guard, gold titanium bolts... too many to list at this point

Calling it done has a nice ring to it. Only wish I could adopt that way of thinking and stick to it.

Seno, I'm not sure if you have been talking to Ivan lately but he now has his own flash software which is much different from what we are using. As I understand it, Ivan now has the ability to play with temp setting for the cooling fans in his flash. That has my attention. Realy cool feature. Not sure if this is something that even needs to be adjusted but having the ability to do so is New.

If Ivan can see that inside the ECU what else can he see ?

12) New item added - Cooling fans come on sooner and go off later

Do you think the brocks fueling would be the same with the ivan's flash vs the guhl flash?

They do not usually change the fueling when you send in an ECU for reflashing (unless you have a specific request)...

No, they don't touch fueling. Brock was asked that question (response below). Makes no sense to me(sales of PCV maybe play a role) Facts; To date Lee Pritchard has not run faster with flashed ECU alone. Does not mean he is not going to, but in the here and now a Flashed ECU in Conjunction with the piggy for fueling are getting the job done.

Brock,
With all the testing and tuning that you have done to develop your maps and now the ability to flash almost all aspects of the ECU, have you started looking into added this element to your flash so that we no longer need to use the P/C?

No. ECU tuning has been available for the Busa's for years and we don't tune THE FUEL MAP with the ECU of them either. It's far too coarse- I can tune a Power Commander in 250 RPM increments and genuinely OUT ACCELERATE an ECU Fuel Map tune (in the real world/any day of the week) in real world testing (+ ride smoother and get better fuel mileage in the process). I use a special program from Dynojet to develop our maps, which allows us to ramp a pre-programmed load at specific throttle positions. This 'controlled load/acceleration rate' helps keep engine heat/ coolant temp etc. more consistent than any type of cell by cell tuning and makes for a much better starting point for track (lambda sensor) tuning. I can also produce these maps and e-mail them to my customers anywhere in the world (no shipping/hassle required), and outrun their 'fresh dyno tune' on a stock engine using our parts 9 times out of 10, if they follow the instructions in our private owners group. See this FAQ for more info:http://www.brocksperformance.com/absolutefm/?f=234
We will crack the ECU to increase peak RPM (a little) - very few bikes need much, if any more than 400-500 RPM. We will remove speed limiters and VERY RARELY adjust ignition timing (only on a couple of Kaws, it's a 100% waste of time on Suzuki's). Anyone who thinks ignition timing adjustments need to be made on most modern sportbikes are either A: sorely misled B: Using the wrong fuel for their application C: using Nitrous Oxide and need to RETARD their timing.
We leave ECU tuning to the 'at home tuners and pro's' because the chances of them doing more harm than good is SO GREAT (detonation, pre-ignition, blown head gaskets, dropped valves, broken valve springs, damaged ring lands, scuffed pistons, scuffed bearings, broken rods, bearing failure -- LOTS of BEARING FAILURE >see: timing adjustments leading to excessive cylinder pressure<... the list goes on and on. Oh yea, your bike slows down one day and the power never returns... it's ok, it's just A LITTLE hurt, nothing replacing a slightly damaged ring land wont cure.)
We don't have enough phone lines or people to keep up with the problems - especially when the 'advantages' aren't worth perusing compared to our 'Brock set-up" using our products and knowledge which are designed to last as long as your OEM items.
I hope this helps answer your question.

I know that Ivan and Don dont touch the fueling in the ECU, but if there timing changes are different wouldnt that require different fueling? So in theory the brocks/guhl ecu flash with brocks map would be superior to the Ivan flash with brocks map. Only because brocks made his map for the guhl flash, not trying to say one flash is better than the other.

Hey Romans thats a NICE 109, here is a couple of pictures of my dads. I'm not sure I totally dig his styling on the seat, but everything else is money. Every 109 owner needs a set of those air cleaners, they look MEAN going down the highway.

I love the seat,it caught my eye before anything else. I've never had or wanted to have a bike like that but I could see me adding that to the stable someday for sure. Have you spent much time riding it? Just wondering how the fun factor is.

Lol, I know what you mean about the air cleaners. M109 guys don't ever stop modding. This pic is of my brothers second 109 After the mods from the totaled one got switched over. 2 X 2 Bore stroke with the spare motor now also being kicked around. Plan is to start flashing these bikes in the summer.
