Just came back from Boise after a couple of days there. Snow and cold. I saw a couple of motorcycles parked outside, covered with snow. It has been raining here in SF Bay Area but thank God at least we don't get snow. Feel sorry for people who live in cold climate. Just got an e-mail from a friend who lives in Chicago. -30!? My God! For me, it is not possible to live in such severe weather.

But it's a dry cold.

It has turned into a slushy cold where I'm at.

just cold here but I'm in the garage as much as I can stand it. No heat and flashlight for light.

Snow here...and 29 degrees.Down to like 7 at night.

31 degrees fahrenheit this morning. I hate this miserable weather.

I have never lived in cold climate. Is it true that riders 'winterize" their bikes and keep them in garage/storage till spring? Insurance in those area is only for 6 months? Here in California we have to get 12 months coverage.

My bike is usually in a garage/storage from November till April, unless some unusually warm weather arrives in the middle of winter. Not sure how it works in other states, but in Pennsylvania I have to pay insurance coverage for the full year.

I was out for a short trip lately.. ~32°F

Here the insurance is not that bad........BUT!!! The license plates also have insurance on them(no fault. We are not allowed to "not pay" when it is in storage. The plates for what is considered to be a "high risk" motorcycle is on the ridiculous side.
That being said we had 10 inches of snow yesterday.....bike has been away since early November.
But hey we have awesome women here in Montreal!!!

Puuuh, was out last saturday. It was cold, but it felt soooo good to ride :-)
