Update.....

First, the fit and finish on the Nitron R2 is every bit as good as the Ohlins I've had in the past, and in fact in many ways is nicer. Install was a breeze and set to 10mm longer than stock, it should give me the ride height and lean angle I want. You say "10mm, are you crazy?", well it was a bit of a gamble, and I have to say the bike steers much better, and there is no indication of any straight line stability issues.

Still early in the season here in Vancouver, BC to truly test it out, but I would certainly buy Nitron over Ohlins any day. The mere fact that rebound, compression, and preload are all knobs, not requiring a screwdriver is super convenient

Took it for a good rip yesterday through the Cascades in WA, and swapped with my friend's bone stock ZX14r, definitely much sharper and stiffer (which I prefer). He certainly had the comfort advantage on any bumpy side road, but a half click out on my settings made for a good improvement.

We typically go South on 9 from Sumas to Sedro Wooley, then East on 20. We got as far as 20 miles East if Diablo Dam where the gate was up. Best time ever on that road as there were zero other vehicles after New Halem. Probably gonna hit it again this Friday

20 is one of the best roads in the PNW. And doubly great on weekdays. Can't really get a better road for the 14R.

Have fun out there!

I just went and did it again yesterday, had to take advantage of the only sunny day for while. It was perfect, zero cars, we had everything from Marblemont East to ourselves

Went for a short ride Friday to test out the new tune and pipe. Thought about heading up that way but it was getting too late. Really enjoy that ride over North Cascades. Once the snow melts off of Mt. Baker thats a fun run too. Glad you got out to enjoy.
