We haven't really had a winter here. February '17 is the warmest on record. We have had several days (including today) where the temp will nudge 80F. The bikes have been ridden more or less continuously with no storage other than stabilizing fuel.

Here in western Oklahoma I've only had a handful of days with the bike stuck in garage. That doesn't mean it won't snow next week! But we have near 80 temps all this week. Been a strange, rather warm winter for sure

Well...the snow is melting a lot here, but I ma with Rook. I would not go out until we get a good rain.
Also however in this province they have a "snow tire law". Meaning before March 15 you cannot legally drive on summer tires. Someone told there was a company making snow tires for bikes.....NOT FOR ME!! That just sounds nuts!!!
I envy you guys that can go all year....

Unfortunately, even when the temperatures get up there, I can't go for a ride. I live on a private dirt road here in Maine that stays covered in ice most of winter and it's a 2/3 mile ride from my house to the town road which has lots of sand on it...

The other crappy thing is that when the temperatures get up there, the snow gets lousy for snowmobiling. Went out Monday for the hardest 90 mile ride on a sled ever! My shoulders and upper arms were beat from steering though 4" of slush. Although there's still LOTS of snow, the forecast is for mid/nigh 40s for the next 10 days.

This is the worst time of the year when I can't use bikes, ATVs or sleds... Now when I go out to the garage and shed, I get clinically depressed to see all my toys just setting there...

Got out last Tuesday for the first ride since well before Christmas. Done some stuff recently, new brake pads, fork clean and new oil, head bearing adjust and new air filter so wanted to make sure everything was A1. The first ride after a period of abstinence always feels SO GOOD, almost like riding the bike for the first time again

Valves are checked. I replaced the air filter and spark plugs.
Fork oil is changed and steering head bearings are adjusted.
Brake and clutch fluid has been changed.

Time to ride.
