Does anyone know if this will fit a 2012 14R?

First Gen crank/clutch baskets must interchange with same years. If chasing parts on line, make sure your crank cut matches the clutch cut. One is a conical cut like your car's rear end. The other style is straight cut. Conical is quiet. Straight cut is a bit noisier.

First Gen injectors will not interchange with second gen. That means, change both ECU and injectors to match years.

Not saying this is true, but several of the more popular accessories company's insist that their Fender Eliminator kits for 2006-2011 won't fit a 2012R. Muzzys, Targa, Hot Bodies and others said they hadn't fab anything yet. It looks to me more like they aren't sure, because I don't see how there could be any differences so wondering if others have already used a pre 12 kit.
The only "Slip On Can's" I see that are advertised for sale now for the 12 are Two Brothers. No one else officially offers them for the 14R to my knowledge.
Heli bar risers do work on the 2012 according to the company-no surprises.

Yes Neil...that Bestem will fit..very nicely.I have one on mine. You will need to possibly make a small bracket(paint black or whatever)and attach one end to the swingarm bolt hole(where the hose router metal deal is(remove that). And attach the upper end of the bracket to the CF hugger hole(I dremeled out that hole just a bit and used a wellnut in it). You'll see what I mean. It's very easy.No problem.A mild rebending(kinda) of the bracket will allow the hugger to sit equally between the swingarms....to center it in there. The chain guard mount holes will fit perfectly on the new Hugger. No sweat. You won't see that bracket once you paint it to match the swingarm.I also painted the attachment bolts...so it looks very nice IMO.

Bar risers fit, windshield fits, and levers fit for sure. I'm pretty sure rear sets fit, but steering damper won't, although I haven't tried either yet.

Haven't tried a fender eliminator yet, but the stock fender/mud flap looks identical, so I'm sure it will be no issue.

Slip-ons are different on the 2012, and as stated only TBR has some available so far. Akrapovic will be available soon, Yoshimura is a little way off from what I understand. Power Commander will be 2012 specific too I think, and not yet available.

Glad i kept the seat.

I would just like to thank NeilP for starting this thread, keep the information coming! Nobody in the aftermarket world seems to know anything yet.

Anyone know if the Muzzy metal fan blade will work? 72 degrees today and at a stop light the fan kicked in at 190 and the temp still jumped quickly to 205 before the light turned green. Summer in South Texas won't be fun without a good fan.

2006-2011 Kawasaki ZX14 Competition Werkes Fender Eliminator TRICK KIT

Will fit. I installed this FE yesterday and there was no issues with install. This kit comes with LED and heavey duty plate braket. Install took about 20min.

This is my favorite FE kit. The one I installed don my 2011 ZX14 was slightly different and didnt come with and LED light. The light had a rounded housing and didnt look like it would last 6 months. This setup seems is better quality.

I bought this from cycle58 for 80 bucks. Im sure some of you guys are probably making your own.

For anyone going the sport touring route, I spoke with Twisted Throttle and they claim the SW Motech center stand will fit, and so will the racks to hold the Givi V35's.

The Corbin peg lowering kit off of my 08 only fits on the left side of the 2012, not the right side. The Buel black paddle style pegs fit but are really close to the exhaust guard on the right side, less than 4mm from making contact. I don't know about the much less expensive plain/narrower set, they might be different. I almost wish I had picked them up instead, just because of the fit and the cost. The narrower set would have left more clear space between it and the guard and would have had about the same boot surface as stock. The paddle style were $77+freight, the narrower ones are about $35.The wide black ones do look good. On the 2012 there is a plug where the helmet lock use to be. The plug is now on my 08 and the lock is now on the 2012. I didn't bother to have the lock re-keyed to fit the 12 but had a key made with a smaller blank so it wouldn't be so obtrusive on the ring. Cost cheap, 75 cents. As mentioned earlier the Corbin seat fits the 2012 just fine with the two useless helmet hooks gone. The only problem is that the cowl looks ill fitting if you put it on the Corbin seat. New cowl is wider in places. If I want the cowl look, I use the stock seat, if I want to haul a passenger I just switch to the $499 Corbin seat. Don't have to bother pulling the 4 screws and playing with the cowl. Just switch. After 49000 miles the Corbin seat is really firm and the stock seat is softer.

Hey Ninjaryder

The current PCV does not fit the 2012 it has different connections than the 06-11 models, from what I have been reading on forums DynoJet is working on a replacement PCV for the 14R. I also read that some guys are modifying the PCV for the 2011 and 2012 ZX10 because it has the same style engine plugs as the 14R.

Clear Alternative integrated tail lights fit and Muzzy fender eliminator works as well.
