Rook--i have a gen1 with no engine mods...i have 421 headers to a roaring toyz short mega...i'm interested in a pcV and have thought about it for a while...but not sure how much this would benefit my bike....any help? (thanks!)

I never ran my full exhaust without the map from the tuner in my PCV. All I know is if you want all the extra 12-15 hp power that exhaust can give, you need to map for it. I plan to experiment with tuning this summer so I have no opinion based on experience yet. The PCV is the start. Then you go to the tuner or you get AutoTune and POD-300. Do illegal high speed runs or go to LSR course and run it to the limiter in 5th or 6th. Finishing touch is the Ignition Module. All told, a little better than a thousand worth of electronics but it's yours forever and you tune as often as you want. Throw in a flash if you want. Another 300. You already covered about all the Gen1's tuning requirements with modules but you might want the rev limiter increased just for kicks.

That's why it's good to grab this stuff at a lower price. PCV is the start. AutoTune-200 and POD-300 is second. Ignition Module V last.
