Cooling Fans on sooner ???? Now there is something New.

Flash updated 11-15-2013
New items include:
Even more top end power
Improved part throttle response
Improved fuel mileage when criusing
Cooling fans come on sooner
See dyno chart below

Ivan's ® ECU Flash for this model includes: - Available Now!! $350.00 + return shipping
All done "in house" now for same day turnaround on our own custom hardware and software.

Unlike many companies/individuals with incomplete tuning capabilities either due to tuner's ability or software limits, I have complete access to every part of this ecu.
This allows me to do a much better job for my customers than can be done with other types of ecu hardware/software.

ECU reprogramming may not comply with federal safety/emission laws
ECU reprogramming may not comply with your warranty

Just different way of looking at the job to be done. Results can be achieved many ways once you learn the software.
I see that. Probably why I rather start at the motherboard and mouse turn my way thru the circuits and up the wires to the keyboard instead.

The Brock/Don/Ivan pool drink from the same steam [of data]?

I am not in the same pool any longer, I have my own custom equipment and have re-done my flash for this bike.
I have fixed all the previous problems and shortcomings....

I don't like being associated with anyone else's work other than my own.

I hear you on that, Ivan. I'm more coming up with off the wall hubbish like Ohm the TT, and one who 'drinks data stream?' Bi Crackeyou got yourself into now, Ivan. Did I hear right?

The thing is, bin is not a term in the book(s). I have to look in between the lines for that one. What is this full circle thing with us anyway. Ivan? I think I may have told you I'll figure this tre thing out and now here we are again but inside the box with me?

You do understand, Ivan, when you say you cracked into more bin, that says you out'bin'd jwool. Don't take it any other way than the tre thing. You come up with 'more bin' and that makes Justin look like I was asking, 'where's the beef' and you have those bin(s)?

You are playing with cells and tables and I'm trying to find a line of code without knowing a clue how to find it is more how I like to be in the dark and mouse my way out to the next hallway. If I figured out the basics outside, I'm big time inside bleeding the bottom line basics. I'm seeing so many nowhere to go but follow so many tables after the other. Are you saying you can see what bins? I have to assume you see more bins than what I see with Justin's ping to the...

Kruz, where is my reality/serendipity in all this? All I did was listen to the same conversation as you, were C asked a flash question and the jolly moto man (serendipping, not stalking) Ivan, and I hear 'more bin.' All it does is ask more questions.

Now Ivan is on the carpet-bin wise. I don't make thishitup. Welcome to the flashitsessions. Here come the dailies!

Lookiss this way HA! Makeith thou Lookiss! ... First Jokeith.

Ivan's ® ECU Flash

What exactly is registered, Ivan?
What is the title of the idea, drawings, and the abstract written the patent office accepted?
What is the patent number so I come up blank on my own we are not "Proud" of that number?

Dynojet does not patent their maps.
How could you patent Delphi's/Mitsu/MM's own... ... Call it your own?

Everyone claims more power. MPH is all I recognize as a legitimate measure of horsepower. Who's flash produces the most MPH same day, same bike, same rider, back to back pulls? The one that produces the most power. This will end the POWER struggle. As in PERIOD.

I hear what your saying Maverick and I believe your findings that your struggeling to go any faster with the guhl flash, but it would seem that there was some other benifit of that flash or brock wouldnt run it. Maybe its the combo of the flash and his tune. Maybe with his tune alone you get fast and with the flash you get faster. No. 1 thing Brock says he concentrates on is acceleration testing. Faster acceleration should equal more MPH no? I'm just throwing it out there as food for thought. If its good enough for Gadson.....

Quicker acceleration does not always equal more mph; however, higher trap speed is an indicator of increased horsepower. Furthermore, MPH will be fairly consistent from pass to pass even if the ET is not. But as some of you have stated earlier, your just street riders and will never notice a few extra horsepower left on the table. My number one concern is that my safety map is somehow still managing to surface and killing my back half MPH and ET. Secondaries are removed and that's why I think my ET is not suffering as severely as it would with them in. I would like to re-install them for that extra smidgen of power up top.

Mav, Mav, WOT is this musical chairs I keep moving one flasher to the next in the chair?? Don is off the red carpet and you now stand on the car Pit, in the pits removing fly and that sounds like ointmentime.

One more time for someone to stand on the carpet with all the flashing, phillip screw smashing, the net goes bashing the flashing down to the single question being...

... Mav, your best time of all time on the bike was bone stock, never took a thing off the bike, gave it the best top end, yes?

So now in transition between the benchmark and the two variables being the flash and the subs removed, Don says the flash is fine. Smoke's deal is a whole different story flash wise. Getting back to Don vs. Fly... Are you seeing what I'm seeing, Mav?

That, Don's flash wouldn't hurt a fly, but your fly in the ointment bleeds carpet... Kind of wipe your feet before you get on to answer, pleaseas...

Too many variables going on here, between musical chairs and red carpeting, flash this, fly that, re-engineer the world's fastest, etc.

Mav I'm very sure there is a way to get to the bottom of your struggle. Hard for me to make exact pin point and say "This Is your Issue" so I won't waste your time. But I know you have heard the Statement What works for one does not always work for another. So let me offer another way to look at the issue.

How many times have we Run a Brocks Map, Ivans map, any ones map for that matter and find it does not work on our bikes. I used to think what the hell, somethings wrong ??? Statements like this one below were always popping up for me in my own testing.

I know when I had brocks map in my bike when it was new on 89 shell pump gas my afr was at 14.9 above 8000rpm. I confirmed that on 2 different dynos.

So what gives ? This member not the first to make claims like this. That statement above I know is untrue,,, Or is it ? Untrue for me maybe on my bike, But Just because I ran that exact map on the Dyno and did not get the same AFR numbers as this member does not mean Brock provided this guy with a poor quality map, it's just that it does not work on that bike with that fuel used at that elevation with that days AR. No crime here just life when tuning that close to the wire.

I have repeated these tests over and over with PC3/PCV in my study and now with Flashes. If anyone here thinks there is a perfect flash they are just kidding them selves. Close for sure but if your racing for money more testing on your bike where you live with your fuel at your elevation is a must. Or your back half may suffer as your hp torque #'s may fall off the cliff. Only need to look at the quote above 14.9 ??? Ouch

Mav I sent you a PM awhile back. Offer for Free will always be on the table. I want to see you go, the science of it draws me in. As far as flash wars goes, well that takes the fun out of it lol. BS floats to the surface, run the #'s. Anyway just talk, if I can help you I will. Cheers.

Actually, I have my own consulting firm. They are pretty firm about things so I might be cured of this yet.

No, those days are long over. I shoulda placed the video in the joke of the day thread, has nothing to do with the thread here. Yep, love the pastor... Great insight. Anyway, I only have praise for Ivan [my secret mentor]... Since the get-go, some just didn't see it like I did. That's the beauty of it... Morning, Ivan!

LOL Kruz, I don't know if we are buds, I just have a lot of respect for the guy. Not his fault of the cluelessIS LOL. He's just as anal as I am. Buy all these gaskets for down the road. Same line mechanic background. Ivan found his calling when it came to tuning his favorite brand - Yam. When carbs turned injected, Ivan followed, why? Gotta stay current or no job have you.

Ivan kept current being forced in or forced out of the industry by the tech change alone. He kept working and I retired. 7 years away from bikes and boom, Watthell is this? The 3 of us have history and butta-boom-budda-bing = 50mhz later LOL

You gotta love it. I guess you have to be a wrench to learn the ropes to make it make more sense to you. It was a great ride as the world spun under me and Ivan's dyno under him. Great memories and laughs under the helmet. Maybe you can relate to the grins in the bucket?

Don't want to start a war, but I was talking to Ivan last year, and he said he found out how to get rid of the safety mode, and then brock/guhl claimed they found it, so Ivan gave away the zx10 "wire cut" mod. Free, to even things out, just saying what he told me .....

Gotta love his passion ...

There is no war, there is this fuel to engine to ECU movement I had a passion for. In the bins a toggle off means a 1 or 0 or a flip to flop, hello? I got it back then? More than you think and then some? Show me the war? I was looking for formula, absolute steps, low and behold are these truth tables. I found the step I'm done looking. Someone shoot me I found how magnetically my pea nice rises.
