Hey guys,as of this moment I'm not a owner of a 14,but I am working towards changing that. I've had a 02 ZZR1200 up till 7/4/014 and unfortunately a crash took her out.So as I've admired the 14 for some time I've began saving my pennies so as to try and get a 14 that will fit my needs/desires. Having found your site I had to see what was for sell.Seen some that caught my eye and so I knew if I was to be in contact with anyone about buying or just wanting to learn more I must join.I am from Bristol Va,which sides with Bristol Tn.Those who know of the Bristol Racetrack will have a better idea of where I live.Look forward to posting some more and soon I will try to complete a profile.Considering it's approx. 1:30am and work is just around the corner I need to call it a day.Glad I found the site and look forward to being a 14 owner in the near future. Welcome Holt, sorry to hear about your 12. From what it seems, fortunately you must've fared better than your 12 in the accident. I just got a 14 after several years (15?) with no bike, and loving every minute of it.

Finally I qualify.Today I made a deal on a sweet 2010 SE with approx. 3550 miles.Has never seen the rain and been garage kept.Very clean bike with minimum extras such as DB windscreen,fender elinator and even some sweet hidden LED's.Tried posting a couple of pics and was having a little difficulty.They may post twice or maybe not at all! Need to star a new learning curve to see how much maint I can do myself as I used to do practically all my work on my ZZR1200.So time to keep a look out for a shop manual as I first plan to do all the fluids first,then my rubber of choice.Start some minor prep so as to have her the way I want her by next winter.Seeing how my 60th bd is Tues I suppose this is my bd gift to myself. Figure i'll take her to the qtr and see what time she will put up.Once that's done I'm gonna make myself a shirt saying "0-x seconds in 60yrs!"

Enjoy the new 14. All you will need to worry about right now is drive chain and oil. You can do that. Tires are a lot of work. I do mine but probably best to let a pro do that if they will do a carful job for you.

ut o....that difficult pulling/installing Tires & wheels?

Welcome Holt, thats a very nice color. Looks great. Regarding the tires and wheels they are not "hard" to pull off but its a PIA. The rear is easier than the front. The front requires removing both calipers and un-bolting the front fender to allow the tire to be pulled out from the front while the bike is on a stand. Of course you need the front axle nut tool thingamagic as well. I bought one off ebay but motion pro makes one.

I do all my tire changes and they really aren't that bad, I went to a good tool shop and got the right size tool for the front, post later forgot the exact size. Im in chester VA right outside Richmond, would love to hook up and ride. Wish you still had the 12 I want the motor for a project I got working. Get it flashed and with a good exhaust and she will be all you will ever need and more! Tap Rook on the shoulder he has a lot of wonderful tutrorials.

ZX-10 front fender with Fenda Extenda.....is there any effect for the change

None that I have noted except the bike runs cooler and IMO looks much better.
There are a few pics with the new front fender under General ZX-14-->2006-2009 Engine Swap if you are interested.

EZX,Maybe we can.....if I figure where Skipwith is! You ever make it this way? I'm gonna try and help some rider friends who want to come visit and ride some of the good roads within this region of Va/Tn/Nc. Looking to probably base in Johnson City or so and do some 200-300 mile rides over a 2-3 day period. I may post more of this within a different thread here soon so as to get some others input or possible participation. Some interesting threads here as I suspected. Now curious bout that ZX10 Fender swap!
