New Seat
08/29/15 2:34 PM

I've made a few seats for other bikes but this is the first for my 14. Kind of firm but at 243lbs I need that on longer rides. I found the factory seat after a while (ie: two 13 hour days this week ;-))collapsed to the pan and didn't offer much in the way of support. The cover is a modified car seat cover and the foam is closed cell to avoid water soaking on rainy commutes. Anyway, here are some pics and sorry about the dirty bike. It was raining yesterday.

Thanks kids. I just can't help screwing with my bikes. Some days I think I like making stuff almost as much as riding........almost.

Thx Grn. Just took the new seat out for a 700km ride on Saturday up and back hwy 20 to Winthrop. Held up great and most importantly lessened fatigue. Firm but with more positioning options for me to spread the pressure around.
