Hi,
All the functions on the clocks and gauges work.........apart from the average fuel consumption !
Which has been at 40.60 mpg for the last week or so and that includes all sorts of different riding speeds !
Any clues !
Cheers TTPAUL.

You must be bone stock? I am no-mods @ 42 mpg. Here's the clue. Zero out the trip gauge. Top off the gas right at the ring and no higher so you are consistent on refills and know your stopping point. Run the speed limits and blip if you like. When it's time to fill, stop at the ring again, record your gallons. Remember the gallons at the pump and the trip number so you can do the math later or in your head figuring it out now.
This tells you how close that AFC number is against your number and do you rely on it.

Remember that the on-board computer calculates ave. mpg as TOTAL MILES / TOTAL GALLONS. But it uses the totals back to the last reset. So if you go a long time without resetting, you have a long-term average and it takes a lot of riding under conditions that are way off average to make it change.
