Got a 2010 1400 ninja F/I. put a new battery in this spring ,bike has been running normally. after returning from a long hi-way trip 400 miles, bike wont accellerate past 4k rpm, bike starts "bucking and jerking" and intermitant headlight and turn sig issues, bike has just turned 13k on the clock.Got caught in a out of town rainstorm,Where is the fuel filter on this bike ? ANY THOUGHTS <,,,,OR EXPERIENCED THIS ON YOURS ?? thanks

Got caught in a out of town rainstorm,Where is the fuel filter on this bike?

The fuel filter is in the fuel pump which is located inside of the FUEL TANK...

KOs link is good info.

Consider: what does fuel quality have to do with headlights and turn sigs?

The scooter needs > 12V for normal operation and your battery... albeit young... is my prime suspect.

Thanks for the replies guys, I wrote that on behalf of my 19 year old son. After work today, started checking it over, apparently 400 miles of hi-way driving was enough to vibrate the negative battery cable loose. tightened it up and ALL is back to normal.
