Nutsert Hunt!

I've got a question about these wellnuts used for holding the fairings. I'm in the hunt to replace at least one as that's all I've found damage on for now.It appears that maybe the previous owner of my bike overtighten or just plain screwed up one of the 5mm wellnuts on the right sight foreman grill when he installed the led lighting on the bike or the hookup for the battery tender. It's the upper one that goes through both the top tank cover and the tab of the foreman.I kept trying to research ron ayers website parts list to find a replacement, but couldn't actually confirm what I needed matched anything I could pull up.I searched through both the parts list for top cowl and lower fairings.Anyone know of a good source to find these?

Before your criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do criticize them, you're a mile away and have their shoes.

Appreciate that alg8er.I actually felt that might be the correct one,but couldn't be sure as I tried getting a closer look of the microfische both on Ron Ayers and B Bandits website.....though I don't think it was even offered on B Bandit. Your help confirming will allow me to feel a little more comfortable with my order.Hope I can return the favor sometime. Thanks,DeWayne

most bike parts shops like cycle gear have them in small kits much cheaper than ordering a few from khi or thru bikebandit

Thanks for some extra options.I did order some though from the BikeBolts link supplied by alg8er.I only needed one for now,so i order 3 extras and with shipping....less than $6.I can't complain about that and from looking over other pcs they have i'll be tempted to stock a few other pcs also.Said 3-5 days shipping so i'll watch and see if so.I'm also having to plan and remove more fairing pcs so as to redo the led wiring that was installed by the previous owner.I like the lights,i just can't stand the sloppiness of the wires that he said were "neatly" tucked away. I see wires hanging and being a problem eventually and probably while I'm at it i'll study a more permanent hookup for my powerplug so as to have it handy to charge phone/headset or camera batteries.I've currently just fabbed a jumper that hoos to my Bat Tender lead and for now snakes behind panels and up under the triple and lays into my tankbag. Keeps my music going! My thanks to Rook for all his tutorials as I'm constantly reading them and learning some ways to do some of my own maint to my 14.I'm going to try and do the Muzzy block off plates since I now have my TwoBro slips installed.I'm also anxious to do a coolant change to the Evans waterless coolant and replace the plastic stock fan with a Muzzy 6 Blade Aluminum blade.I Really like this forumn and I find the info here very rewarding.Maybe I may cross paths with some site members sometime.I just recently read of someone heading into the Boone/421 area soon and of course that's not far from where I am in Bristol.

Rook,i'm ready to check it out.Not being a track experienced rider I usually try to "tune" my suspension settings to something close to what another tall, balding senior might do......uh wait a minute.....too much info.nevermind.
Maybe i'll try to just try and find a workable link for a shop manual!

Suspension Tuning, Gen 1

I usually try to "tune" my suspension settings to something close to what another tall, balding senior might do.

I think my tutorial will work just perfect for you then. I am pretty sure the Gen2 suspension is is very similar so hopefully this will apply to it as well. You'd have to check the Gen2 SM to determine how many turns you can do on the damping settings and also what the stock settings are for everything.
