I wound up at Champion Raceway, Medford Oregon..3rd place but I did manage a perfect lite. Sure would like to go to an all bike meet. ..

This post bums me out, I want to see you and smokin going at it for the stock motor honors this season bgmagma! But just because I am bummed out doesnt mean you cant go ahead and post those dyno charts. I assume you are going to see something to the claims of what carpenter racing offers.

Man there is no way I would have been able to hang with Lee's mph. We just don't have the air here like they do down south. That would have been fun though! Plus he already sold that bike. :(

Hell yeah man congrats!!! I still have yet to get a perfect light on my 14. I have one on my 10, but still waiting for the perfect light on my 14.

Really? Does it make that big of a difference?

What is it that the shock does differently ? Does it put down force on teh rear wheel and hold that force longer than a stocker?
I could never understand why struts would not be better , or in case of the single shock, a method of locking the shock solid.

struts are worthless on on no bar bikes. the aftermarket shocks are so much better mainly because of the rebound damping. oem shocks rebound way too fast for drag racing even at the stiffest rebound setting which unloads the tire after the initial squat on launch. its less crucial on slower bikes that launch softer. after market shocks allow the bike to stay planted with the much slower rebound. i have a penske 8975 lightweight drag shock on my 14 n love it. made a huge difference once i got it dialed in properly. they arent super expensive, think i paid 850 for mine. plus they have the res in the shock body so u dont have to worry bout it being in the way or finding a place to mount it
