2015 ZX14R Normally Aspirated Route
05/26/15 7:41 AM

I picked up a 2015 14R and plan to build this bike with quality components and to keep it naturally aspirated.
So far I've got the Brocks CT Titanium on there, a Shorai Battery and some green peanut bulbs.
On order and arriving in a couple weeks - BST Wheels with World Wide Bearings, Driven black 42 tooth sprocket, black Driven sprocket nuts, Sato rearsets, carbon fiber heel guards, Puig standard dark smoke screen, smoked integrated tail light, black Stompgrip pads, LED headlights and Competition Werkes fender elim and a Romans ECU Flash.
On the Horizon - Smoked signals front and back, Evotech 1/4 turn gascap, Rizoma mirrors and fluid tanks and Probolt black fairing bolts. Anyways, here are a few pics taken of the bike - Colour is Graphite Metallic with Green Fins.
I go away for a spell but this big old girl always wins me over. The ZX14R will always have my heart. And this community has a great bunch of guys on it that always has me wanting to log in in the morning to see what's going on. Happy Riding and Modding this summer fellas....

NOS planned for 2016
Plan
Buy a 1441 motor
Install rods piston, springs
Remove stock engin.
Install built motor
Progressive controller
Map
Blast off
Ride the piss off her and if she blows
Install stock motor

This year she remains unmolested.

Good plan. Mines a little simpler. NOS, tune and just ride the piss off her. If she blows, ride busa.

I have a brand new '14 as well. I am very interested in seeing how your mods progress. I have a feeling I'll be stealing a few ideas!

Congrats on the new bike. I really liked your turbo bike, did you lose interest in that bike or did you just run out of stuff to do to it?

Yeah, I guess abit of both actually...It got to the point where it became a one trick pony. It was blisteringly fast but that was about it. I just wasn't feeling it anymore. Off boost it wasn't factory smooth anymore, but on boost it ran flawless. It went to a better home now. Romans has the skill and know how to make that bike purr like a kitten through the entire rev range. I believe he's also cranking the boost up. He wants to run it on the street with 400 at the tire on pump fuel. This new bike I will focus on getting it light and then doing some suspension mods like on your ride.

That's cool that Romans has it. I'll bet you could still take her for a ride once in a while, as the old saying goes having your cake and eating it too.
If you enjoy the twisty stuff and want to push a little harder than the norm then upgrade your suspension with some quality stuff and get it dialed in. Best money spent for me. I used Dan Kyle racing in CA and had great luck. A couple of my buddies sent there stuff off to Traxxion Dynamics in NC and had great luck as well.

BST's showed up lastnight, hopefully on by the beginning of next week.
I got the Comp Werkes fender elim on too. Though I decided to paint it and the tag light black instead of polished stainless and silver. Here is a pic of how she sits as of lastnight....

Wow! With those tires and wheels it must be a real pleasure to play with in the turns and drive off the apex. I'm completely jealous..... Great job

Beast, where did you get the smoked rear and turn signals? I gotta get those white lenses off my BBW and the stuff I see on eBay looks dodgy

No joke crude....this thing feels like a different bike. Like a 600 with a 14 motor.
I got the smoked lenses/lights from 58 cycle. I was going to try to tint myself, but opted for the easier way out. I believe they are from clear alternatives.
