A not so Newbie

Hi, guys. Just figured I would introduce myself. I joined the forum right about the time I got my 2012 14R, but never posted on here. I have had nothing but Kawi's since I bought my first one in November 2002. I always said I would never own a 14 cause i'm a smaller guy and totally love my 05 10R. I was actually on my way to get a new 10 when i ended up getting my 14R instead. Needless to say i'm not disappointed. My 14 is pretty much a track only bike. I raced all season last year stock wheelbase chasing the infamous 8 second quarter mile and just barely came up short. I have been working on it most of the winter to get her ready for this year.

My setup now:
lowered
strapped
rifleman quick turn throttle
reflash
pcv
10-14 over evil arm sitting at 11 over now
16/42 for now. Have a 44 in case I need it
1000RR front fender
Brocks Ti winder
cut seat
secondaries removed
Shorai battery (Stolen from my 10)

Hoping for 8.60's this year on pump gas and a stock shock.

thanks for the warm welcome guys. I am so ready for the track to open so I can see how quick this thing is going to go. Our track is supposed to open here this weekend but mother nature is seriously bi-polar here. It snowed all weekend last weekend. Today its almost 60 degrees and now expecting more snow tomorrow. Its retarded!

Thanks man! Lol yeah. I did that to the tag the very first test ride. I went ahead and just took it off for now. For one, so I don't have to worry about it at the track, and two, to keep me from riding it on the street for now and tearing it up. Plus I really just need to ride my 10 on the street now. The 14R is just so damn mean on the street!

I seriously can't believe how quick/fast this thing went first time out. My goal was 8.60's in the 1/4 and almost went 8.50's the first time out!
