Greetings:
I grew up in NY; now I live in warm and sunny CA.
I've always enjoyed machinery. Perhaps it's in my genes; my father is a Mechanical Engineer (ME). I'm a wannabe ME.
Motorcycles are the tapestry of my life.
I've got about 40 years in the saddle. I started building H-D choppers in the late 1960s and stuck with that basic layout until the late 1990s when I burned out on V-Twin engine designs and bought a Valkyrie, my first Japanese bike. I bought my second, the ZX-14, in early 2007.
I was in the U.S. Navy for 6 years; I was a Navy "Nuke," a machinst mate specially trained to operate a nuclear power plant. I was on a fast attack (SSN) submarine.
After I left the Navy I studied architecture for a year but could not sketch nor render so I dropped out. My study of architecture interested me in aesthetics and taught me the fundamentals of design.
Later on I earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a major in finance.
After that I earned a law degree.
I never received any training to become a machinist and as such, I am literally a self-taught, backyard machinist. Too, I polish metal.
I am fascinated by advances in all manner of technology and although my facility with computers isn't the best, I never cease to marvel at the wondrous power of the computer age.
I enjoy this website and the members' big Ninjas.
I look forward to continued membership here.
Your fellow ZX-14 rider,
DZINURZZ
