Scorpion helmet

Talk about customer service! Bought an exo-gt920 modular over the weekend. Large fit perfect except for really snug cheek pads. I know they'll wear in, but I wanted a pair of x-large pads to relieve some pressure. Checked their web site, no luck. Revzilla had them but stated xs-l weren't replaceable with xl-xxl. Sooo...I emailed Scorpion customer service with my dilemma. Sent it on a weekend, and Elizabeth responded Monday morning. She says yes they have xl pads available...I come back, wish you'd sent me a link because your web site doesn't show them...she comes back, does the crown fit right? If so, give me your name, address, phone no., and I'll send out a pair of our new large 5mm thinner cheek pads, free of charge, ASAP!! Blew me away! Those can run $20-$35! Already got the FedEx notification. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT DEAD for SOME companies!

I bought a pair of SGSs and after a few thousand miles the stitching on the palms was giving out. Contacted support and submitted pics. Since my purchase they'd came out with SG3s. I was able to upgrade for the price difference. SG3s are a better glove and despite rumors aren't jus SGS with gauntlet. No issues with these at SG3s probably somewhere around 10k miles on them.

Have a cheap EXO500 and it's been a good helmet. THe only problem really has been the screen coating which has been easily damaged. I used a buffer and polished it all off, much happier.

Agree Scorpion is top notch.

I had a pair of the SG gauntlets stitching started coming apart, looked
up receipt and they where 2 years old but still in great shape other then
one of the fingers starting to come apart.

I called their customer service just trying to find somewhere I could
send for repairs.

They offered to replace with new pair free of charge. Just had to send
a pic of me cutting up the old pair.

Received new pair and I'm very happy customer.

I can't even image replacing a product like gloves for no
charge 2 years later and it was zero hassle.

Thanks for posting mad. Nice when someone takes the time to talk about positive experiences. Seems there is always time when its negative, but if happy with an experience, no time. Never really thought about Scorpion for any of my gear, but I will now.

Nice to know some companies still value the customer.

It's great they have good support. But it does make question why do the products have so many issues in the firs tplace? Granted - the OP's post isn't really a product flaw and it is a good example of support without a problem.

I bought an EXO700 and the wind intrusion was HORRIBLE. Made my eyes water when I rode. My wife found a chin skirt on Amazon that fixed it. So, at the races I asked the Scorpion rep why the chin skirt wasn't included with the helmet. He noted it down. I also told him how aggravating it was to have the plastic screws behind the visor hinge break over and over. A few weeks later a package with a new chin skirt and a set of screws showed up in the mail. Doesn't necessarily fix the issues but I thought it was a nice gesture.

Vic
Working for HP, at a warranty center, we were told that 10% return was expected for most of their products. This could be breakage, missing parts, user error etc. I would guess with mass production, most products have an "expected failure rate". If they could produce with no failures, blems etc, that would be awesome. To me its kind of like World Peace......it will never happen!!
