9years ago tested a shoei rf1000,icon textile jacket, tcx boots, dainese gloves, levi jeans,200kph high side, jacket melted, gloves and boots worked, helmet worked, jeans didn't work.the textile jacket worked but was garbage after.so was everything else.still ride in jeans.I should buy a pair of kevlar jeans, nowi always wear dainese leather jacket and gloves,TCX boots and shoei rf1100.

Thanks for the well wishes, guys. "I'll be baaaack..."

Darryle:

I solved the pants issue with this choice:

http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/revit-tornado-pants

... a *mesh pullover* with armor in all right spots (after adding the optional hip armor), and a liner for cold mornings. Full length zippers have them on / off in under 20 secs each leg. Easy! ...and really comfy even in 100 deg afternoon freeway traffic.

Not cheap, but neither is skin / bone.
