Doesn't look like an old man to me.
The last two times I've been to Deals Gap, I had a burger and didn't even ride the dragon. Too big of a risk of a head on with a hardly wobbleson for me.

Ain't it funny that a ZX14 can make us look and feel younger? I'm 57 and now have a ponytail that flaps out of my helmet. Wife's idea. I think she's trying ot turn me into "Flabbio".

I am 56 and hair gone long ago. We rode the dragon back around 2010 and it was a blast. My son and his friend got busted for 60 and 63 in a 30mph zone. Tickets were in the $230- $240 range. If you have never ridden the tail I think it is well worth the trip.

Wow! That is crazy! I was kinda starting to think the law didn't really police that stretch, since it seems like a wild, wild west race track every day I've been there. And since it's kinda like a major national attraction.

One day there was a minor wreck of some kind, or maybe a break down, can't remember, but a cop was in his car with his window down just nonchalantly motioning for all of us riders to slow down ... when he could've easily gunned us for tickets at well over the speed limit Or should I say, I never looked down at my speedo, so we may have drifted 1 or possibly 2 over

I only have a set of Carrazzeria Tri-Rs for my Gen1 and IMHO, they make the bike feel a little mor skittish in the corners which is something that took about a year to get used to. I suspect the overabundance of torque we already have just gets more edgy in the corners with lightweight wheels. Straightline acelleration feels a little quicker with my Carros so I'm sure you would notice that with BSTs. I would not say the handling is any better at all. It's still a big heavy bike riding on the suspension.

The front CZ is almost as light as a front BST but the rear is a few pounds heavier than BST. They are a large, visible part and BST wheels will be appreciated by those with refined taste. Awful expensive for appearance mod but that helps justify if you do not ride any faster with the new wheels.

You can get a new set of BSTs for about $4000. I NEVER see discounts on these. 58cycle used to offer a great deal on Carrazerisa. About $1200 /set If I recall. The Tr-R is no longer made for the 14 but other slightly heavier CZs are made. I have seen a BST copycat brand out there. Much cheaper but IDK how good they are. There's more to the BST wheel than lightweight construction. ...something about rotational inertia..something like that. It was designed to be a great wheel in all regards. ..I just don't know how much anyone can take advantage of them for performance enhancement if they put the wheels on a 14. Sure, if you drag race or do LSR they will probably make you a bit quicker. It won't transform the 14 into a road racing track bike however. JMHO. I don't have BSTs as mentioned. I would still love to buy a set if I had the money because I'm into modding but I do not think they would make me faster where it counts for my style of riding.

Nice pictures! We have been going up there every year for the past 7. That hwy 28 (your photo at the water fall) is a lot more intense than the dragon in my opinion. I always take a walk down to the dry falls when I am on that road and take pictures. I don't hamy ninja anymore, but it is fun just the same.
