Change and balanced front and rear tires. Cleaned, bled and changed front and rear brakes. Adjusted foot pegs and changed to a GP muffler. Love the new brake bleeder.

Thanks. The original was smashed by a rogue tire cap on the highway.

That's good lookin there.I don't want to spoil anything...you have a serious gap with that upper inner fairing goin on.You might want to loosen the attachment bolts and give it a slide on out towards the mid fairing edge there. It should slide a bit...that's minimal space right there. Those two pieces should butt up against each other.Bike looks very nice;)

Yeah, I know about the gap. The hole where it fastens to the lower fairing doesn't line up. I would have to break it off and some how attach where it belongs. It's the only one that's why the gap is there. I spent two days trying to fit it, but to no avail. ?? Thanks for looking out.

Nice to see its open. Lookin forward to a ride over to Winthrop. Hurricane Ridge should be good to ride now too, just need to take care for the sand and pebbles in the corners for a while. I hear they are working on getting Chinook pass open too.
WooHoo spring is here!!!!

IXOYE...loosen the bolts at the dash there, along with the other ones.It should slide over some. You can remove the bolt up by the dash, line up the inner fairing piece, then tighten those on the outer part first, and then reinstall the dash bolt.I had to do that on one of my 14's.You also need to push that outer fairing in along with pushing the inner fairing 'out'.You pinch the two pieces together, then tighten that bolt right there.Just don't OVERTIGHTEN it,the tab WILL crack.I know;)Are you sure you have the rearward part of the inner fairing tab over far enough? You may end up with a smallish gap at the tank cover seam and the upper inner fairing part,if so,you manipulate the tank cover fairing some so it mates up to that piece.Sometimes you have to work with these parts a bit rather than just 'sticking em in there'.Unless of course, gaps don't bother ya!;)Nice avatar name.

Just looked again....looks like it's the upper cowl that's not fitting just right. It's aftermarket,so yeah, may not be 'fixable' unless you remove it,and heat it with a hair dryer, then 'bend' slightly.I'd actually try that.Seriously.

All I see is maybe the fuel tank cover is installed over the top of the side fairing. It works on top or on bottom but might fit more flush one way or the other. My fuel tank cover fits best when installed on top on one side and under on the other...but then the ram air cover sticks up a little on one side. I haven't tried loosening the fairing hangers to get them at the best angle yet but that might help.

I prefer fuel tank cover under the side fairings so you don't need to take it off every time you remove a side fairing.

I never really liked the look of my rear hugger and all it did was add moving weight and trap dirt. Was thinking of a cheap eBay chain guard or even going back to the ugly stock guard. Ended up making a mini guard for on top and will make the bottom one another day.

Best fathers day gift was a couple hours in the shop. :-)

Cool idea! I'd give it some lightening holes. The bottom one will attach to the spool, presume?

Ooooh, speed holes. :-) Love it.

And yup, the bottom should attach to the spool mount. Might be fun getting the spool off after being there a very long time. Was hoping to just use a longer SS bolt.

I am so ready for some riding! Hurricane Ridge in the morning. We are so lucky for the beautiful roads and rides we have around the northwest.

Great roads in the pacific northwest. When I lived in Alberta we would ride to Mt. St. Helen's for a shot at 131. A little technical road running north/south on the east side of the mountain. I don't think there is a straight section for an hour and a half...
