You will likely reduce the weight of your machine by at least 15-20 lbs. I shipped a pair of 1st-gen ZX-14 mufflers and the shipping weight was 30 lbs. I doubt if the 14R cans are lighter. Net weight reduction will depend on the weight of the new pipes comapared to the old.

That's veeerrrry light. Judging by those numbers and the looks of the cans themselves, they must be aluminum-bodied. Your weight savings may exceed 20 lbs.

The 2 stock mufflers are very heavy, 32lbs or about 15kg.

Brock claims a weight of 8 lbs for some of their systems. IDK if this is just the weight of the mufflers for his slipons or if that is a full system. Hard to believe an entire exhaust could be just 8 lbs but check that if you'r wanting to maximize weight reduction.

My Tsukigi was about 17 lbs total and that muffler is pretty beefy welded segments of steel pipe. You can get something good that is about 14 lbs or less.

When I removed the stock cans on both my Gen1 and Gen2 14's I remember one thing very distinctly.

Both sets were extremely f*cking heavy...

I replaced both with Yoshimura R77 slip on's on both bikes and the weight difference and reduction was amazing...

Rook this is not my photo, it is Shane's but it is the exact same pipe I have on mine. That is the whole system weight including the included mounting bracket for the muffler.

If you look above I can save you the trouble, they're 16lbs each.

Brock's Titanium setup is incredibly light. Yosh R-77 Carbon Fiber/Stainless setup weighs around 16.5 lbs (without db insert, add 1 lb). This was good for IIRC 22.5 lbs reduction. For someone looking to minimize weigh, they have to go with a Brock's or other full titanium system even if it's $1700. Even at $100/lb weight reduction compared to my exhaust($1000), that's cheap weight compared to other weight reductions for our bikes.

Those should cut some weight and look a lot nicer then the factory cans.

I weighed the OEMs and my Muzzy stainless black slipons (not a full system):

OEM right-side slip-on = 15.4 lbs (6.99 kg)
OEM left-side slip-on = 14.6 lbs (6.62 kg)
OEM slip-ons total = 30.0 lbs (13.6 kg)

Muzzy right-side slip-on = 7.6 lbs (3.45 kg)
Muzzy left-side slip-on = 7.2 lbs (3.27 kg)
Muzzy slip-ons total = 14.8 lbs (6.71 kg)

So the Muzzy's weigh 15.2 lbs (6.89 kg) less than OEM.
