HAPPY HOLIDAYS YOU TURKEYS!
11/26/14 10:31 AM

Just wanted to say that I hope you all have a great and safe holiday season. I'm actually going to take the beast out on Friday after not riding it for awhile. Full leathers and I'm going to ride like a damn fool. But safely of course....heh heh.
So, have a good turkey day, tilt a brew for me and I hope Santa brings you what you asked for this year. ( you WERE good weren't you?)

Happy Thanksgiving and holidays everyone!

I'm just satisfied to listen to my bike run. I don't think the 14 will actually get stored this year. I'll get out for a little ride in a few weeks.

Well, went out for a toot on Friday. Great weather, dry roads and the bike felt awesome. Had some breakfast with my friend George and we headed out. Head down and ass up I actually hung off around the faster twisties, which is something I rarely do on the street. (don't want to attraact the wrong kind of attention ya know...).
Got to our first gas stop and DOH! Seems that George forgot to put his wallet in a safe pocket. And now it is gone... Soooo haul ass back to the restaurant, not there and no one turned it in. So that ended that ride, George headed home to cancel credit cards etc and I hung around Alices a bit then headed home myself. It doesn't matter really, any ride on the 14 is a great ride.

Same wat I feel. Man I hate losing a wallet.

Got a wallet losing story with a worse ending for ya. I was out shoveling snow several years back and discovered my money clip with drivers lic, credit card and $300 cash fell out of my pocket. No sur[rise, I couldn't find it in all that snow. Next spring I'm about to start my divorce and the neighbor comes to the door with my money clip. She found it in the alley. Soon to be x wife was standing right behind me with a big grin on her face and her palm held out.

When I first started riding again, I was putting my wallet in my Icon's left pocket and door opener in the right. I came to a 4 way stop inside a strip mall area, next thing I know my wallet just pops out onto the ground. I was like wtf of course. So obviously fortunate this didn't happen in the last x minutes while I was out riding the streets. I don't keep any cash in my wallet but it still would've been a major pita.

Now I keep it in the jacket's inside vest pocket, although I've learned that the front pocket zips need to be pushed allllll the way up and then they won't come loose.

My wallet story..... While stationed in England, the wife and I decided to drive to another base to get a Burger King fix. It tasted good after 6 months of no stateside junk food. Head to the BX, think big department store. Reach in pocket for wallet to pay.....oh shit its GONE. Had our Tax Refund in it. Over $1000, and a 100 or so in English currency. So, we head back to Burger King and ask about wallets being found. Yep, taken to Security Police office. They had wallet, and all the cash was in it. Seems a Captain found it. Told the SPs if we didn't come to claim it, to call my Commander and let them know it was found. He knew an Airman couldn't afford to loose that much. HAHA

I still check for my wallet on a regular basis. Lesson learned.
