I had two, a 2001 and a 2005. I also owned a 2008 B-King, aka: naked 'Busa.

I love the taste of hypersports bikes and am quite enjoying the different flavour of my current 2010 -14.

You know how you play with a few kids and wear them out, or pet some dog and throw it a ball? Well, they were not my kids, nor my dog, I just had a few minutes with them.

Go back to 1999 when they first came out. I had a few minutes with a test ride after a service kind of toss the ball. Segway to 2014's newest and demo ride. It was like going back in time. And now put it up against the 14 you've got to be kidding me.

That's about how long I owned those grips in my hands. Just long enough to know the difference.

I built this thing in 09 over the winter and still love it but the 14R has put it in second place as my favorite steed

The GS1100 is a great bike, I'd have a hard time letting my 82 Katana 1100 go!

That's a beautiful kat there. Still looks futuristic today. There's a pic of my turbokat which is a real blast at 10 lbs boost in the 14R section. I still believe one of the most robust engines ever built.

I don't understand why there is a huge prefference for one over the other except for appearance. I love them both.

I felt the same. Now I have both and ...I wish I would have gotten a ZX-6 instead. These are just two big bikes doing the same thing. The busa feels more refined, the 14 feels more ragged edge. Both appealing to me. i don't go any faster on the busa. Used to feel like it cornered better than the 14 but now that I'm only riding the busa, I can tell I am cornering at the same speed. I really miss my more heavily modded 14. The busa has a couple nice stock features the 14 lacks (like stock steering damper). Glad I'v been on the busa so much lately. If I have to sell one, I will not miss the busa too much. They'r both great bikes but the 14 is better looking in body styling. Also, the flies in the busa are as annoying as hell and you SHOULDN'T pull them out. You feel them in ALL the lower gears under medium - large throttle. The only way to get rid of the lag is to flash. The busa looses on top and bottom by pulling even with AFR tune.

Yeah, that busa is sexy too, though. Probably better at top speed. Never done that on either bike yet.

I still can't make up my f^*&(&ing mind which one I like best--I guess. So I keep both.

Tell'em, Rook. Busa is big bertha and the 14 is skinny mini. Bertha's big butt looks just like her cute cheeks. And the 14 looks like a gear-dash-she-inn and that figure go figure. Everything butta face.

Yup, they're my two favorite girls (after my daughters of course).

I had a 2001 Busa that I rode for 10 years. A great bike but finally replaced it with a 2012 ZX-14R a couple months ago. Except for low speed handling and gas mileage the 14R has it covered. But after 11 years difference I would expect no less.
