Hi everyone I hope im posting this in the right area . this is only my second post. What my question is this, I have a 2013 zx14r and the first thing I did was take off the huge cans and put a coffmans duel slip on on my bike. it runs descent I think. I then took out the baffles and its considerably louder but not sure about power. ive heard of ecu flash but not quite sure about how that works. my question is should I get a power commander or an ecu flash. my bike will be ridden bacically omly on the street and in the canyons and was wondering what my next step would be. thank you in advance for any input....Rick

If you are not racing you are done. Have fun with ear loss and all that droning to put you to sleep on long trips. There is more bike here than needing more parts thrown at it. The tuning trick is to gearow some balls over the seat if you want the bike to move faster. Do not brake as soon, this tightens your swing steer muscle is that it's all in the wristitty.

This bike has way more kick than (I) could ever use....streetability is one thing you don't want to lose with your 14R.Your mods sound fine...earplugs maybe?Hub's right...ride her for while...get used to the throttle and what it can unleash...takes time....open er up...rock some....then make a decision about flashing or whatever.Believe me....she has a lot more potential in stock form than most can wring outta her...great choice BTW....but she's NO 1000...so ferget about that....but in her own element...OMG...watch yer arse;)

To answer your question, go for the ecu flash.

thanks for the input you guys. I put the baffles back in because with them out it was just too loud also with them back in I think it runs better. I just turned 900 miles and im just gonna leave her alone for a while. you guys are definetly right about the power at this point why mess with something that has this much power. the reason for the shorties in the first place was to get rid of the hideous stock cans and so when im lane splitting on the freeway cars can hear me coming. thanks for the advice you guys.
