newbie in need of guidance
09/29/15 6:11 PM

Hi all. I just purchased my 2008 zx14 about a month ago. I have been searching everywhere for the appropriate map for her but can't seem to find anyone that has one as of yet. Short of going to the dyno, which I eventually will, this is my last shot. Mods are as follows;
K&n filters, pc3, full ti muzzy with carbon can, secondaries removed.
Other than that she has 9 over links and t-rex lowering links and vortex gas cap.
I can not find a tune for a 08 with seconds removed. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Fuel Moto used to have maps you could copy. Not sure if they still do.

I thought the 08 didn't need the flies removed?

It doesn't.None of em do.It's isn't the secondaries that are the 'problem'.It's the timing and amount they open(or close) that's the issue.Easily corrected.

Kawasaki addressed this with the 08's and up...but they still can be adjusted more to a guys personal preference.

The secondaries actually DO have a purpose with drivability.Not just on the bottom end.For STREET riding that is.

Thanks for the imput and compliments. As for the secondaries.... I was informed by the seller and also the previous owner that the seconds were removed when I bought the bike. I know I was told by ivans and by no jet that if they were removed and not tuned she would run lean. I also know the header glows through every gear at speed bright unless your in 6th then it's just a dull glow. Unless the muzzy ti exhaust is just known for that I figure that's a sign of running lean. I haven't blew her apart to see if they actually are yet but the seller used to race 14s and the previous owner has a built turbo busa and used to be a member of out MC so I believe them. I just want to make sure she is right because since the zx14 first came out I've wanted one. I was finally able to afford one and I would like to keep her tip top.
