No Mar - Provider
04/10/14 5:44 PM

Ordered a No Mar mount/demaout bar 04/07/14. Got an e-mail right away refunding my 2 day express shipping as they do not ship on Friday and that they were on back order until the next Tuesday. Monday 04/07/12 got another e-mail with shipping info. It showed up at my door Wednesday 04/09/14 (2 day shipping anyway), plus they threw in a tub of No Mar tire lube/spray bottle set/extra tip/written instruction/instructional DVD. So I call No Mar a good provider. No review on the tool yet.

I have a No Mar tire changer and I think they are expensive and charge a lot for shipping. Did I mention the 25% re stock fee...25%!

No-Mar is about 20 minutes from here. I walked into the store and walked out with a $645 Classic for $500. Also got the nickle tour of the manufacturing facility. The Harbor Freight Chinese-made tire changer is a rickety piece of junk compared to the American-made No-Mar. By the time you're done welding it back together and buying the No-Mar bar, you could have had the real thing. You get what you pay for.

Yup ! I have one here.. For the last 4 years or more takes some getting used to but it works .. I tell you what tho when changing tires u can really see what these tires are mad of ! I will not buy a Michelin! I know there good but man the way that tire collapses is scary when u know what we're doing with these machines!

I have an old Coates tire changer and I love Michelins and Pirellis because they are flexible and easy to mount. I HATE, HATE, HATE Bridgestones! It takes 2 people and a ton of sweat to get the tire to stay in the channel so you can get the bead over without being the Hulk. AAAARRGH!

I use an old pair of cabinet clamps to keep the bead in the drop center and make levering the other side off easier. No-Mar makes some clamps that are specific to the task, but I haven't needed them. Trying to pry off one side without the other in the drop center is a pain and unnecessary. Problems arise with certain rims (Triumph, Ducati, some aftermarket) that have little or no drop center.
