Haven't done HID's, but sounds like a job for zip ties to me.

Velcro? double sided tape? zippies? mounting bracket? rubber bands? band-aids? duct tape? scotch tape? gum? epoxy? plaster of paris? liquid nails? saran wrap? inertial dampeners? Dr. Scholl's? ...... silicon breast implants?

sorry felling especially sarcastic today

but seriously get the clear thick industrial velcro. It doesn't have the fuzzy stuff but rather the knobbies that interlock. If you can get the adhesive side to stick well enough it will never let go of anything!

let us know how you like em. I've got some Xentec 35W 5K in the box waiting for me to finish up all the mechanical and painting work I have left to do yet. Spring just sprung here and I'm getting super antsy!

I noticed DDM has the slim ballast kit in stock now.

When I purchased back in January they only had the big indestructables. So I bought a 55W one for the wifeys' Avenger from DDM and a 35W slim kit off ebay for me bike.

Have my ballasts 3M taped down under the intake covers. The slim digital ballasts also have the small hole that you could use for a wire tire or a small screw. Thought about using a screw into that plastic tray they are mounted to, but I don't think they are going anywhere as/is. I may re-work this when I add my Hi beam Hid kit. Was gonna order PIAA H9 Super Whites for $75.00 a pair, but V-Leds.com has an Digital H9 kit for $59.99 so its a no brainer there.

I put my ballasts (DDM mini ballasts) on the inside of the upper cowl with silicone adhesive. They are still there.

I have two of them up just below the windscreen, "behind" the instrument cluster. If you look down between the top of the cluster and the windscreen, you can see them. Good air flow there.

The other two are along the sides of the upper cowl, sort of below the running lights. Same deal, silicone adhesive.

The starters I just wrapped in bubble wrap and zip tied to the headlamp frame in two places, and then the other two I zip tied behind the bracket that the ram tunnel covers fasten to on each side.

So basically, to take the upper cowl off, you just have to disconnect the OEM headlamp connectors, everything is attached inside the cowling and comes off with it.

I have yet to get time to install mine but after all the reading I've done since I bought them, I'm really wondering if the 55W I bought for the wife's Avenger was a mistake. I don't need her pissing people off anymore than she already does!

So after reading up on all the hid kits, marker lights ect.... I went with DDM tuning i had them on my last bike and had no issues. I got the H9 35w @ 5000k and 35w H11 @ 5000k. Also went with the WLED-WHP5: Natural White Wedge Base Bulb From super bright led.com .......There were no modifications of any kind for the marker lights or DDM Hids just plug and play.

hey Ink, I just ordered some LEDs to make brake light pod for my topcase and I love that site. I've never bought any of their premade bulbs before, but your's look very bright and functional, even rival the HIDS from the looks of it.

I have installed three HID kits in the last couple months and I love these things. I'm afraid people are getting sick of me trying to convince them that they need to get some. lol
I'm actually surprised how BLUE my 5K HIDs are on my bike and I'm thinking about trading them out for 4Ks for some more intensity. I've been riding with oem highs and low HIDs on in the mornings and the day and I get flashed about twice every time which is acceptable to me.
There are some people who just see the HID light be it bright or not and get pissy. I actually talked to some ass who wanted to complain and condemn them all. I laughed heartily at him and explained that if they are aimed correctly they should be fine, and he'd better start to like it because every new car seems to be getting them from the factory these days and soon everyone will be blinding everyone!! haha.
So usually I just flip off Mr. Jeep Cherokee every day even before he flashes because I know he will and he does. I think he might have a secret man-crush on me or somethin.

Anyway, my suggestions for everyone is, if you don't have HIDs get some. It's not like they're expensive and they really are easy to install.

Oh and a tip: I just put some 55W 5Ks on my Mom's PT cruizer and this time I bought the premade harness which made things soooo much easier. At least buy it if you are doing anything other than the ZX14. You really won't need it on the 14. But I wish I had on my wife's Avenger. Maybe I will still get one for her's when I buy my next set?

HHmmmm...doesn't have any instructions? You guys always take pics with your wiring harnesses running together!I can't tell what's connected there and what isn't.(except for the ballast and igniter)! It appears to POSSIBLY be a pigtail for a relay harness. That red and black....with the connector tips exposed...where is that running to?(or from).
Okay...the yellow...connects together.The white...to factory plug in.
